Welcome to my current place of work, Trevor. It's beautiful. Zenic Provincial Archives in the middle of an industrial wasteland, but we have found the one stretch of park-like area. No front of it.

It feels very safe because the armour is right across from us. Okay, so we are not here with a regular episode. We are here with some information and some requests. So first thing is we are still in the midst of planning the next episode, which will be about the search for Edmonton's Best Ever Playground.

Best Ever Playground? Best Ever. Oh, okay, that changed things. I'm going to find the best existing current playground.

But if we have to look into the future, too, that will shake things up. I bet there's some pretty cool stuff coming in the next hundred years. Well, Best Ever Past or Present. I don't think we have to know the future ones, but our friend at the show, Catherine Lennon, had sent us a great question about what is Edmonton's Best Playground and we're a history podcast, so this is how we can make it in history.

And I think it's an excellent way to spend our time in Edmonton in the summer. Heck yeah. So the first thing today is just listeners, if you have a strong opinion about what Edmonton's Best Playground is or was, we want to hear about it. Yeah, and we want to go check it out.

So maybe, yeah, let us know what you think the best playground is and if you want to tag along with us, let us know too. You can give us a shout on social media at Let's Winio Podcast on Instagram or on Facebook or you can send us email chris at Let's Win at Podcast.com or you can send us an audio clip. That'd be cool, too. Oh, yeah, a voice memo.

Maybe of you at the playground explaining why you think it's the best. That'd be great. Heck yeah. Okay, next thing, we have a date for our live show, which will be a wrap up to this whole season about parks and natural areas in Edmonton.

So we're going to be at the Alfred Savage Center in White White White Creek, Green Park. We're going to be there September 21st, which is Thursday. So putting your calendar. I'm very excited.

I've never been there, but I've heard great things. Yeah, it's a pretty little place. And what's the topic of the show going to be? So you may have heard people talking about the idea of there being an urban national park here in Edmonton.

So the City of Edmonton administration has collected feedback from Edmontonians. They've advanced a proposal to go forward with this with the federal government and they've said they want to move forward with the idea of an urban national park in Edmonton's River Valley. So now that we're at the stage of luck, there's a real thing to maybe point to what might happen here. Whoa, it could be cool to wrap up our season talking about what we can learn from past experiences in the Indian area with building national parks, with building this new one.

That's really cool. And I'm assuming this is kind of based on a few years ago the Toronto Open to National Urban Park, I believe the Rouge was the first in Canada? That's the first one in Canada. So I believe this would be the second.

We've got Elle Guyland around Edmonton. There's also some interesting weird stories about the Wainwright National Park, which existed and no longer does. Oh, wow. Yeah.

Did it up and leave? Or did it lose its designation? I'll give you a hint. The park said, bye son.

Bye son. Oh my god. Okay. And then the last thing is, oh yeah, I've been pushing for years for people to subscribe to the show with Stitcher.

And Trevor, did you hear what's happening? No, what's happening? The developer is killing the app. Is it just, can I make money?

What's going on? Yeah, I think they're shifting to other ways to make money out of podcasts and stuff. So if you've been subscribing to the show via Stitcher, it's going to be discontinued at the end of August. Switch over your subscriptions to Apple Podcasts or Google Podcasts or Spotify.

Where all the other places, Stitcher was my favorite podcast app, but wherever else basically you can find podcasts anyway. You know what else you can do? You can just wake up in the morning and then talk to your little home device and just say, hey, yo, play me the latest episode of Let's Find Out. Is that what you do, Elle?

First thing you get up in the morning, you say, let's listen to my dad's podcast. Committedproducer, not always a committed listener here with Elle. Yeah. Yeah.

I think that's it for me. Anything else you want to tell listeners? Uh, Elle thinks the next season's theme should be Pokemon. About local history of Pokemon.

Yeah. Yeah. I mean, that app's like six years old or something. That's ancient.

Six years doesn't sound very ancient to me. To me, ancient sounds like the pyramids in Egypt. Yeah, or the pile of laundry in our living room. Not ancient.

I think you should do some archaeology on that laundry pile. Alright, we are going to go enjoy some parks. Yay, it's a beautiful day. And we think you should do listeners, so go have fun.

And we'll catch up with you next month. Bye.
