Playing God: The Ethics of IVF

Join Pastor Joseph Spurgeon of Sovereign King Church and Pastor Ben Sulser of Evangel Presbytery as they tackle one of the most pressing issues of our time: the decline of fertility in the West. With courage and conviction, they confront the ethical and spiritual minefield of in vitro fertilization (IVF) and embryo adoption. From the dark origins of IVF to its staggering consequences today, Joseph and Ben expose the moral and theological dilemmas that come with "playing God" in the realm of reproductive technology. They lay bare the harsh realities of embryo cryopreservation, the commodification of life, and the guilt and grief that haunt many parents. Yet, amidst the weight of these truths, they offer hope—redemption through Christ and trust in God's sovereign plan for family and children. This episode doesn’t shy away from hard truths or tough conversations. With boldness and biblical clarity, Joseph and Ben challenge the status quo, offering a manly, uncompromising perspective on honoring life and God’s design.
