Playing in the NBA while LEGALLY DEAF (Passion + Perseverance) | Lance Allred

Lance Allred is the first Deaf player in NBA History - playing for the Cleveland Cavaliers alongside Lebron James in 2008. Even without the hearing loss - Lance's journey to the NBA was NOT a typical one. He was born and raised in a Polygamist Commune in Montana and escaped at age 13 with his family to start a new life. Standing at 6'11 and needing a new way to socialize in "the normal world" Lance turned to basketball at his new school - and the rest is history.Lance  is now a wildly successful business owner, professional speaker, author, and communicator (which he is most proud of). He has multiple books including "The New Alpha Male" with the Foreword by Ric Bucher. He can also be found by his famous TED X Talk "What is your Polygamy?" on Youtube.In this episode, Lance gives us a wealth of wisdom and philosophy to help us all slow down and communicate even better than before.
