Plight of North West fishermen raised at key meeting
There are concerns being raised regarding the regulations that the Irish fishing sector are currently working under. The issue has been raised by Fine Gael Senator Manus Boyle, with the ongoing Killybegs fish meeting, which has been taking place this week. The Donegal native has claimed that Irish fisheries are working under stricter conditions as opposed to the rest of Europe. Speaking to Ocean FM News, Senator Boyle hopes that the rest of Europe can start “looking after the small fisherman”.
