Plunging For Jesus Ep. 2 “The Journey” My life has been full of setbacks but I am grateful for them all Starting in middle school I was never seen as the “cool kid” wearing glasses and weighing 176lbs with no muscle My ego started to take over after I joined the military coming back and people started to see me because I was in shape This led into bodybuilding competition’s where my ego took over even more and my relationships suffered because of it Fast forward to being kicked out of the US Navy where my thyroid shut down shortly after my last competition leaning towards drugs to escape life This led to 3 years of my life being lived for the world, impressing those around me, leading me ultimately to failed relationships over and over I separated from being in any relationship to build my first business and Ego took over once again losing it all 1/2 million in 12 months wouldn’t be enough for the 14 months of depression and attempted suicides I faced July 6th, 2023 I surrendered it all to Jesus. I got on my hands and knees and I was done living life in my own terms I took a road trip across the USA for 153 days where I found people cared about me not only for my body, but for me as a person. Started two other companies but that wasn’t my calling until God called me to ministry. Now a full time Seminary student in an accelerated program while being mentored by multiple people in my life There’s one major lesson I learned that I was a believer not a follower of Jesus My life truly changed when I didn’t just attend church for a check in the box but spent the time away developing intimacy with our Heavenly Father ✝️
