PMA Destiny Mfg EP 0716 - Larry Pomerleau - CTECS Larry discusses Apprenticeship, Vocational Schools, WFD and much more. Precision Machining Technology Department Head / Teacher at Oliver Wolcott Technical Highschool. Larry started his career as an apprentice Tool & Die maker and completing my 8,000 hour apprenticeship to become a journeyman Tool & Die Maker. While working as a full time Tool & Die Maker he attended college in the evenings and completed his Associated degree in Manufacturing Engineering and further on to a Bachelors degree from University of Bridgeport. He started teaching the machining trade at my current location in 2004.
