PMIC - Episode 22 - Holly Singer, owner of Milk Jar Candle Company

from Proudly Made in Canada Podcast by Local Laundry · host Local Laundry

In episode 22 of the Proudly Made in Canada podcast Connor sits down with Holly Singer, owner of Milk Jar Candle Company. Connor and Holly reminiscence about first meeting each other when Local Laundry collaborated with Milk Jar on our first collab candle, Sweater Weather, a maple-butter candle celebrating Canadian winters. The two get mushy when Connor refers to Milk Jar as our ‘sister company’ knowing that Local Laundry and Milk Jar have always been big supporters of each other's brands. Holly shares an inside look into how Milk Jar first got started, how she ditched nursing school to follow her dreams and how Milk Jar gives back while operating a purpose-driven company aimed at reducing its own and its customer’s carbon footprint. Recently Local Laundry and Milk Jar Candle have launched their second collab candle, Hang Dry. Hang Dry, the scent of the summer, is the newest addition to the collaboration family. Holly explains the name Hang Dry came from the nostalgia of summer linens drying the yard, giving each garment a distinct warmth and smell from the summer sun.
