Hello beautiful people and welcome to our humble the boat the thunder on this walk Wednesday November 19 2025 this sports program begins right now Football is magical. We're lucky that we get a chance to chat about it every single day. It's not just me and on this particular Wednesday There's a special edition and obviously the toxic table at Boston Conner and at Tai Shumet You are a special duo, you know, and hey, I'm in here looks incredible nice nice good like to hear that I see some edits in the camera reflection. That's okay.
Thank you here. It looks incredible Thank you my hair normally box same unless there's some little growth problem in my hair just goes straight out So I got to deal with that every single day. I got a bunch of collage So my hair that normally pretty similar you have transformed what your bucket is mm-hmm from hat Obviously formerly maul it before maul it not maul it guy at all then people remember now You're just becoming a long hair guy. We want to let you know.
It looks good. Hey, thanks man. I appreciate it all I don't care I care about stuff a lot stuff. Yeah a bunch of stuff.
So I don't know like the patrons Patriots did that long hair might get a parade sooner than later now your NFL vet hosts of everything DB good D bad D and NFL match-ups which is available now right now on ESPN plus mm-hmm Disney plus I know and if you're an early riser 3 34 a.m. You can watch that thing on ESPN to ladies and gentlemen There's people right before college game to get a lot of times last ESPN. I've been watching I've been watching a lot of D-butch NFL match-ups on Saturday mornings before I head out there can't wait to be an organ by the way Hey, it'll be good trip organs very far You know we got a chance to experience multiple times here now over the last couple years because of Dan landing in a powerhouse program They're gonna have seemingly forever You know Dan Lanning's name used to come up for jobs because of how you know he's young and obviously very successful and everything like that So his name was like everywhere like hey this guy be there for 20 30 years and Dan has come out every time He said yeah can be there 20 30 years this place right here have everything you could potentially want the only hurdle It is so far. I mean it is but once you everything once you're there So you just got to kind of put yourself in a portal, you know, like that's how you got to feel like alright I'm signed up like the old days.
We're forging a river here. This is or gone trail. We're going all the way over there Okay, this is a big one and you want to be a settler, you know, even in the modern transportation ability Especially as you know the rock is starting a little rock. Yeah, you know always a little bit.
So you don't see you Well, it's you especially when it's black when you're flying tonight. It's just it looks like it's just nothing I'm just looking out in space, but it's down, you know, it's there, you know, so it's fascinating little thing But once you get there and I'm acting as if it is very strenuous to fly somewhere in 2025 I'm not but I'm just saying it is a long haul to get there in a long haul to get back But once you get there everything about it is awesome. I mean it's beautiful facilities. They're updating newer facilities So it's like everything they have once you land there is almost like an island of sorts like hey We are an athletic island and obviously with Nike support and everything they're able to do they think they can run every sport for long haul I mean, that is the way they view it and Dan Lanning's name's not even being mentioned, right?
There's a bunch of jobs open right now on your jobs, Florida LSU Penn State still open and Dan Lanning's name is not one It's being chat about because Dan has come out so strong multiple times. I'm not going anywhere I'm not going anywhere. I love it up here They got a huge one this weekend with USC coming in town need to win need to win to keep that thing right off McAfee motivation is more than two. Thank you for starting my morning off like that.
Maybe you could pre-record like 47 o'clock on the flights over So this coach Kiffin mentioned that yesterday like hey, maybe you create one I used to do a good morning beautiful tweet beautiful people tweet every morning But it wasn't really you know is every day same message. Hey, we're going Let's get rid of bumps. Let's enjoy this shit Let's go for it, you know, then coach Kiffin has that the lady who writes the pivot year, right? Which is one motivational message a day for you.
Yeah, so he said well Why don't you make one I said great another job But I have had a morning routine that I've kind of been able to stick to and I get into this on here 194 degrees of God up this morning Your hair vocals are hot there, you know everything's on so there's a lot of you time in there as you're just kind of cooking It's an interesting time and I see why Tim put some like thoughts together had to do a couple times because finally obviously He had to put it down by the door and shout out to rich guy who built house that I moved into great job on this We've never been able to accomplish what he has accomplished on this So phoned down at the bottom because it's over heat and air coming in there sitting there now I find myself actually thinking of the message What what I want here? What do I need to hear? Yeah? Well, I thought so then I started gathering I'm like this is actually a pretty good thing for me to maybe do just in general And then I let that thing fly a lot of positive responses I appreciate people kind of you know understand that every day you can't find a war if you want to in especially in our world now Mmm boy boy boy boy boy they are look at that piece of shit.
They're scumbets. How are they even allowed to operate? How is this an actual thing this feels like they're praying upon to some things and completely wrong and everything can be taken out? That feels like some stuff.
We should yuck war we should do work I have that thought with a lot of people on a very regular basis let alone all the public stuff happens I also do a lot of my lot of business You know I do a lot of business with a lot of people and I'm dealing with suits You know and I negotiate my own shit So for us for the boys for the team always thinking about that so I mean the amount of people that I interact with that have no I do or never seen anything like me before coming in there This guy's an on-air talent. He knows nothing. It's like actually let's have a good time in this conversation I can tell you that you have no clue about the modern world they were currently in and I'm gonna do that in a certain different fashion But there's a little bit of disrespect obviously I'm not doing shit for you. This is not how this is gonna go Who's your boss who's the person who actually has done something with your company?
Oh, this is our part You have done anything you are currently working for the people that are actually spot bang we need to get the hell out of here So I can find a war every single day is what I'm finding what I need to do find a happy stuff You know we need to enjoy this one. So that's how this morning's message basically The other is like hey, I don't know any further grades. It's hard to tell in here. Okay, we should go work some people today Today's a good day.
Maybe today is the day that we kind of we just say enough with all this you know Maybe we do that but instead it was like no I need to hear somebody say let's have a good day So I appreciate you shouting up. I appreciate the positive response and I appreciate coach Lane Kiffer saying hey You should maybe get into this because maybe it does become a part of the morning routine Yeah, well, maybe it does because it feels like I've had a great morning You know why because on Wednesdays we're joined by man is a Super champion He was player coach for Tina once real. I don't know who else is really accomplished that he's from Moon Township The same hometown is Joe Nardo. Wow there Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania He I want the Penn State you know He's a member of that particular cold.
We'll be talking to James Franklin here in about 23 minutes He was just announces the head coach for the Virginia Tech Hokies just moment skills opening press conference was great Ladies and gentlemen, it's the host of in the trenches top top five. Thank you. You. You Hey, did you read my message this morning and did you did you see it as a good thing or a bad thing should I continue to do this?
Yeah, it's a great thing. I read it, but I usually work in the opposite I was trying to find those those battles. I like the battle. Okay.
Yeah life is good for you in the middle of the battle in the Middle of the trenches that is in the trenches model aq there's a lot happening in the NFL world week 11 right now Okay, there's some teams I think that we know I think there's some teams that we still were kind of question about and then there's some teams that are Already probably thinking about next year and what's the transition? What is the rebuild look like for you? You know, you've got a chance of your us talk you got a chance to hear the world talk What are some things maybe that haven't been channeled about enough coming out of NFL week 11? Let's do a huge takeaway First one conductor perdy full steam ahead that looks like a train and he's obviously up there in front of paying attention A road's got the bone sand cuz that's what he does on the field there Yeah, this is Boston Wouldn't be the green line would be the red line probably the white line and they want to be heading towards South station or North station They're probably headed towards Super Bowl station if I had to guess that is a fantastic graph Okay, so I'm not I didn't grow up in like a train area.
Yeah, sure so what are the different types of lines? Yeah, so yeah, I do not want to come across as a bigots in any way. It's more so you're not like hey I know trains better than everybody no not at all typically trains and I guess in Boston the one kind of Outwire would be the commuter rail doesn't have a color to the train line But trains are typically you know colored lines. There's the red line.
There's the orange line There's the green line and when I saw the graphic. I'm not gonna call it the red line We already have one of those but then you take a look around inside. Oh Rock birdies all the way back I think that is what you wanted to talk about conductor party being back for this offense And I'm looking differently as you were on the call for the Arizona pardon Absolutely, I got to see it up close and personal I sent you a text after the first quarter He came out slinging it. This is what I love and this is what I love about Kyle Shannon You see my calf regone motion right there and then he sees okay cool.
I'm gonna do a little bit something Oh, no, I know exactly what I got I got George Kittle matched up on a linebacker one-on-one. He's able to shift He's able to motion He's able to drop back and just drop a dime for the first touchdown of the game right in the hands of George Kittle Keep it moving. He was awesome in this game. Let's look at the next play right here This is so good again same thing all eyes on Christian McCaffrey, right?
Let's send him one way. Oh, yeah look over there Let's throw it to the full back in the flat wide open up the seams Kyle you check doing what he does And then we get down on the goal and let's take note of George Kittle Watch George Kittle's route on Jaylen Tom's one of the best safeties. Whoo. See you later Damn drop it in a bucket two touchdowns that connection I think moved into second place all time between perdian kittle all time connections San Francisco 49 Okay So the QBR difference between Mac Jones and Brock party in the same offense is like a 10% leap or something like that Brock party came back What was that like four three four weeks ago from his injury and it clearly was not all the way healthy was not able to move This past weekend against the Arizona Cardinals watching Brock early I mean that thing was rolling early right there you said he just made a check to make Sort of that shot is like Brock seemingly fully healthy Brock having a chance even to watch Matt kind of do his thing Maybe you know kind of take it in from a different perspective at this stage of his career and also understanding that he got paid and broken off So it's just ball.
It's like watching Brock respond and we weren't the only ones ever talking about it But like the reason why Brock hurt he was the starting quarterback there is mr. relevant I know it's you know talks about overboard is because how Shanahan doesn't care like if the person's good He's gonna play that person he's been empowered to do as such John Lynch has been empowered to do as such That's how they run that team over there They don't care literally do not care where you were drafted if you're the right person for the job You were gonna play so when Matt Jones starts having success and then Brock doesn't play good and then Mac Jones has success again It's like hey, this is one of the only places and Brock party is literally the depiction of it where that coach will make a change Then Brock comes back in and it's just like what do we even excuse me? Excuse me. Yeah, what are we even talking about?
There's a reason why I am the guy that got paid when I got paid and I'm happy for him for that sake Legitimately happy for him for that. Yeah, I love Brock birdie And like you said I mean that it got pretty loud there Because Matt Jones was playing well He was throwing for a lot of yards and you know that he's a big part of the reason why San Francisco is still right in the thick of things in the playoff Fun, but it does just feel like watching that game like Brock pretty's command of the offense It's just like he is just so comfortable and it seems like Shanahan I don't want to say you know He was kind of hamstrung by Mac Jones being there But it feels like he can really go through his entire playbook and be very comfortable calling everything because he knows Brock's gonna get the guys in the right spot and then again not much rust out there all of his throws Although it might not look like he's really zipping it in there It's throwing motions weird. He's not you know He doesn't maybe have the arm talent that a lot of other guys have but it just seems like when he's on he's always putting the ball Exactly where it needs to go. Yeah, that's the arm talent.
I mean him putting the ball exactly in the spot that it needs to be It doesn't matter how fast it's getting there when it's getting when is the only thing that matters as opposed to how whenever it comes to that But he's special and I think he makes all the right decisions to debug Which is another huge part of the Brock pretty train We've been watching since he debuted and really took that place over absolutely the first couple throws I feel like a cute could have been a couple other guys maybe on the train maybe in the middle not in the back But yeah, John Jennings for 30 Great play great ball great route, but yeah Brock has full control the offense He does have arms it kind of reminds me I guess Julian saying probably reminds me of him You don't see like the arm pop you don't see jump off But you mention it the wind matters the wind aware so he's always on time always on target and back to the hell of a Job you said it, you know 64 right now the Niners max started with six games So he had pretty good control this office as well But he's showing you why he went from miss the relevance one of the highest pay quarterbacks in Nashville Bobby Yeah, you probably had trem Williams on their D, but yeah, I don't know why aq only pick those guys But if you go back to the first really disgusting, I mean, but then you look kind of it kind of makes sense But if you go back to that first clip from yeah right here like when he it's also his brain like aq You said he knows where he's going with the football But as soon as he gets the ball instead of looking right he just stares left to keep 34 kind of right on that hash to open it up And I don't know max Jones was probably doing this but he knew from jump when he got the ball He was going to the right and he still just decided look left Yeah, I think the biggest difference when you look at what Mac didn't we look at what perdy did when he came back is the fact that yes There's always gonna be shifts and motions in a Kyle Shanahan offense Oh, the difference is how you use those shifts and motions? Can you use them to your advantage not just pre snap motion just to get exactly the leverage you want? It's hey, how can we put call two plays run the shift run the motion recognize the coverage get into the play that we want to then Throw the ball to the blocks unbelievable talent. He's gonna make everybody have hope that you can be drafted or be an undrafted free agent And become a pillar prontime player.
Can they win a football? I think they can I think they really can yeah Yeah, he fenced us out. Yeah defensively they're a little obviously hamper the red horn on both of the four years in completions Right. I know I know but I do think because they can control the ball.
She can't spend it. They can control the clock They control the run game they get brought to him when he does get an early lead and then all the sudden they have a chance Okay, let's go to the next takeaway from week 11 tray T. D on Henderson obviously Ohio State product going up the New England getting his shot at basically full time running back Those for three Todd's trade Todd's what a starter a q ship Yeah, we've been waiting for him to get his opportunity and he does and takes advantage of it three touchdowns as you mentioned You got digs in the backfield all eyes on him jump him But here's why this is so good Let's run this back just a little bit foxy if we can pause it as Henderson gets in the end zone So pause it right there, right? This is meant to go to the back pylon, but he sees that corner indeed But you can talk a little bit about it if he continues to go to that back pylon now He brings that corner into play for the interception But he settles back into this zone Drake may find some and he just does exactly it's very quarterback friend That's a field great heads up like you mentioned just a field because if he keeps running at that corner back That's on the goal line and he got influenced by us the fun Dig you can see kind of two defenders go with digs out there So it's a great place.
I'm not sure if there was a quarter's match or a cover to match But down here in the red area that corner is kind of playing the goal line He can play the high to low so if he puts that ball kind of try to go that back by line that corner can't make A play only but since he just kind of faded to that open space Drake's on good ball and grit heads up Where does by young player young player just kind of knowing he more touches get more feeling that feel I love it Two young players. Yeah, very smart team Josh McDaniel's 200 Henry was wide open on that play now You look like we get two run plays right in a row here I love this play cuz Michael on when the big powerful right guard come across with you What's that's on the crash keep the movement walk in the end zone What are the things? Oh, yeah, the dims plays on on when you how good is that? It's any height weight and width there as well as a wide son of a bitch when he got He's a hardball guy out of Michigan when he got drafted to New England a few years back They actually told them like it was one of the biggest sons of bitches Michigan's ever seen Yeah, I want to assume powerful.
Holy shit. Look at the way he's able to move in base I mean, yeah, right oh yeah, yeah Oh, man or crazy all way to he looks like he's 400 pounds he might be and he can he can run a little dance He's on his feet. Yeah, right the thing I love about this play to and you just mentioned it right at the end look at all the boys Celebrating it is different in New England right now. They know they got a team obviously we see this play well blocked play before obviously doing their thing This next play we're gonna see 350 Huge look at the size of this dude and he might be 400 pounds now.
That's what I'm saying. You're looking your way Let's always remember that we always go up as much This last play though check this out. This is all Henderson. We get a little flip look fake one way flip it one way They sniff it out He just does this all by himself and they find a way to push him And look who's on the back of the ball?
I don't know if you saw all the way it was on the back of that train rate I mean, yeah, right we get him the ball watch him Yeah, you're moving in there. Yeah, we're scoring touchdown. Holy shit. I need online in Jersey.
Oh, yeah, six three three fifty Listed yeah, exactly. I'm assuming he isn't just you know heavier to your point of cue. He looks six five to me out there Yeah, I don't know why why we're even saying six three, but it's just a buy-in like even 58 if you see him Jared We'll see you talk about celebrate He rolls on top of the pile and goes bananas on the backside of the touchdown like the buy-in's incredible the sights and sounds from you know Every single game are great in the coaching. I mean the coaching is just showing up You really just can't talk enough about the coaching staff and what they've done to these this team I love this group.
I really do. We all do and right now. It's kind of like we're happy for brave because you got fired at Tennessee Good move. Thank you.
Thank you. Amy Adam stroke. I need a Jersey and Amy Adam and we'll be the old Houston Yeah, yeah, because we'll take those two yeah Well, there's something she'll never give up and that's those jerseys or power and what JJ what on and a little bit here to Chitchat about that whole entire thing But yeah, just looking back on that decision man old man and not to mention the narrative that was built about very bull coming into the Season because you know patris started one and two they weren't great and everyone was coming around on their high horse Right will never start south that great. He was a he was an average coach in Tennessee and everyone just kind of thinks that he's some Guru good coach and now it's like well, where are you and they're all at the schedule sucks, you know, blah blah blah blah blah But what do you get you can't do about that?
I mean people are so so stupid. Well, especially on the internet Yeah, it has a lot of that I mean we've obviously contributed to it so we like to apologize for everything that we have added to the stupidity out there for sure But it is interesting the way people can frame things whenever they have set in their mind that they're right Yeah, you know like well, I definitely said that I believe that so even if I'm shown stuff that is completely contradictory to my beliefs I have to prove somehow that what I said at the beginning was right because if not I'm dumb It's like hey, and there's people that are in the daily sports world. Just know there's a new piece of information coming on fucking You think that you have all the information and your daily and your life Fully scripted show of this of course. There's gonna be new information You have to be able to change how you feel about things like you have to be able to adjust the fribble thing is not a good coach I think that one's that's a good depiction of how society is potentially always stuck in their ways Yeah, I think that's because if you look at the numbers whenever you was a Tennessee I think you had the most guys on IR or something like that We didn't know anybody on their team he barely knew any of the people in there They won't see me a Fc now granted they lose the bangles and losing to super into super into Los Angeles Rams But they have like nine sacks and I gave him something like that Which is very much guys that you don't even know anything so Viable being a good coach we knew so then as soon as they fire them we all go what the hell are they go figure No, and then the way it's all going out down there you take yourself maybe the Tennessee Titans are the biggest number fire You know, yeah, maybe they are the biggest number fire in ball You know and that's a crazy thing to think about especially because Nashville is such an awesome city like the NFL loves natural I'm there's football that's like such a it's a special city.
It's an awesome place and ages Well, he's not even showing up whenever they're firing the cuts in GM. She's not even at the owners not even represented I'm here representing the owner. It's like don't you think we should hear from the owner? Yeah, I'm here.
Yes, you're a hard front right, but I'm here to speak for the earth's like what a shite organization Good luck Titans. Yeah, you got this over here. I'm on that note. Congrats on a patron.
Oh, yeah, and also Cleveland You know brave is in the building for you. Yeah, there's another team to out there That was in the building we got to figure out big announcement this morning. Yeah, yeah Should or Sanders will be starting for the Cleveland Browns this weekend good luck door now This will be a full week with the offense being kind of shifted around what should or does well What should or likes what should or doesn't like he will be in the reps with all the starters including, you know offensive line But more importantly wide receivers everybody the timing of things him and Stefan's go be able to watch film together This is big news, especially from the people that just found out like a couple days ago the back of quarterbacks Don't really get the bell of the ball treatment in NFL buildings. They're certainly there They certainly have a job you certainly are part of the team But this is starting quarterback's team and it's not just the back of quarterback that has to act that way But it's everybody in the building is acting as if it's starting quarterback's team So now that is should or so good luck to him excited to see what's the fans he does wish you're doing what the roughness does and Who they playing they play the Raiders So like it should be you know that tough physical elite offensive line against miles Garrett Like that should be a pretty that should be a fun one to watch on Sunday Well, I mean on a flipside Max Crosby with Shador Sanders.
Yeah, exactly and I think maybe they're frank Mm-hmm. It could be that's what's tough though is like, you know max Crosby could have 15 sacks and force like eight fumbles And the Raiders still like it be by 50 which is goes back to our Congrash the door Oh I mean you play the Raiders. We always look at a schedule say hey when would you want a quarterback to get into hey? We all in the stand up there's a plan it's the NFL so it's always tough teams But yeah, if you could dream it up.
This is the game you want to enter and get an opportunity So let's be cool. You're gonna get the team They know you know, you know, you know the family knows Tom Brady has a relationship with their obviously the Raiders had an opportunity to draft him But for him, it's gonna start for me upfront like how well can he set protections? How well can he be protected and that's when you can see the true talent of a quarterback We see it happened all the time when people go to certain places It's like okay, this guy stinks But Daniel Jones for example like he was under duress for his entire career in New York and then he gets here has a full Company offense surrounded by some talent and he looks like a complete different quarterback So it'll be start number one, you know in the middle of the season, which is always tough But I'm excited to see how he figures it out up front for some form How do I already tell me for a fifth round pick you're always gonna get your start probably in the middle of the season Just yeah, you know in the backup quarterback thing I don't know how any of them ever have success like being a hundred percent serious Like think about the situation that should or got dropped into it everybody that didn't really know how like a week to week works And the team was like this he has no idea what he says like yeah, that's cool backup quarterbacks getting dropped in the games Insanity in my eyes got me very good That's why normally these back of quarterbacks stick around for a long time Yeah, it's like a position you're doing homework You're able to execute every offense against your defense They need to give looks for and also if you've been standing around for three and a half hours in the freezing cold watching something else You have to be able to put your back you have to go out there right now And oh, yeah, most important position right now and you're gonna get blindsided you have no feel for how this game is gone So backup quarterback sucks I would say there's a lot of people I want that job But I think that is a very difficult job to succeed in as a coach having a rookie backup quarterback as the worst position would be We see it with Sam Fran Mack Jones. He was ready even Mary Oder like he's gonna give you an opportunity I'm famous Winston like we're you have Jacobi percent like you have some really a record of a Make some root off like legit you have these veteran quarterbacks who have either been a starter at one point We have Matt Hasselbeck great luck was out for three or four games like we run out of total We still feel like we had a chance to win every game But when you're putting a rookie quarterback who haven't who hasn't had live reps even if you're getting practice against the starters You're not getting live reps you're not getting real pressure You're not dealing with everything as far as the play call and all the different moving parts So everybody's kind of figuring it out at the same time So it's gonna be a huge challenge to your point.
It'll be crazy But so if he is successful that'll be more surprising than exactly that's what I'm saying like people are gonna kill Shador Like it if it goes bad, which it could could go bad could go great. I mean there's a chance because you look at these balls I mean the arm talent is very real So what should door and should or takes a lot of hits gets right back up? There's a lot of great in Shador's game now being able to understand the comprehensive defense and the blocking and where your guys Are gonna probably lean to as opposed to actually being and all that type of shit It's like we have no idea of Shador's able to do that. That's the biggest difference right in baseball It's like can you hit the curve ball?
That separates you from being major verse that in football quarterback It's like can you figure out what they're doing on the other side and how quickly can you do that? And what does that information do for you like everybody obviously talks about well if you're a great athlete you can be Quarterback or whatever. It's like maybe in college in the NFL You have to know what the hell's going on and your football IQ is gonna be on display This is the highest level for a reason so it's like what is Shador's football IQ? I guess is gonna be found out here and I'm not saying that we know week one But like that's the difference his arm talents there his toughness is there We assume he's not scared of the big moment because his life is literally just a big moment all the time He's being watched by everybody since he was in eighth grade or whatever So I just I don't know I'm excited to see how it goes But there's a chance like he dices like there's a chance he dices something's up special with the fans He's not a bad play color and then there's a chance it goes really bad like there's a chance it goes really really yeah And I think you never know with a rookie quarterback boy Monday's gonna be allowed one way or the other with your door and for the Cleveland Browns We say thank you for adding that into our sports.
Yeah, I mean boy It's crazy to think that this game now will maybe be like one of the most most watch games of the week That's for sure. Yeah, exactly whereas going in you know It's like hey, this is arguably maybe the worst game of the NFL season So like having that is you know at least made a Roger Goodell made to call yeah, you know the NFL can do whatever They won't get down might be there you might be in the owner suite, you know, I don't know where it's being played Maybe he might be sitting Jimmy has them sweet, you know watching this game firsthand. We'll see Let's hear your last take away here before we have a incredible guest Josh is jack of all trades master of all you know see the quote is jack of all trades master of none They wrote that about me coming at college. Yeah, cuz I was able to do it all but boy I wasn't great any of them is what old buddy said I believe in a magazine It's quote about normally saying like this is an SUV, you know, it can do a lot of things But not really great one for now what you're saying is Josh is good at a lot He's great at all of them and that is become very evident seemingly with the way he's played from year one to now It's like he's grown every aspect of his game and it's seemingly on display every week He's probably the most improved football player the natural football league's ever seen right when he came in he couldn't throw the ball He was a 50% completion percentage guy wasn't very accurate now.
He does everything He's accurate he runs he's gotten a little bit better at running and protecting himself And then these are the plays that really makes him these off schedule plays when it's not there run around convert throughout deep watch this throw Oh, I mean just shocks at 55 perfect in the back of the end zone That's easy now this one's great because we recognize Antoine Winfield number 31 is down to the left side as we see it to The bottom of the screen he's blitzing he knows he's got three over three up top blocker on blocker get it out the tie Johnson See you later by look at the air run by the way Hi football IQ play right there to Josh Allen He knows exactly where his pressure is where people aren't gonna be and I'm happy that he's healthy They look like the hamstring there for second and then he really started bopping that thing up there didn't Yeah, and were you like bopping the ground and they're not a bopping the air I have not heard as to whether or not he's been fine. I think you can maybe bop on the ground do not be sniffing no No sniffing of anything because these refs they know what used to be on those fingers So whenever you're doing the sniffy sniff there say I okay, that's what they're saying that's what they're doing That's what they're doing. They're calling it CD lam got two of those training right on the Refs the refs were real interesting in that game out there Getting you know what the panel in the difference was in that game was it 17 to 1 Arizona Cardinals at 17 penalties the 49ers at 1 I'm going football to have a properly even very good program That's absurd. I have not heard that.
Yeah, I mean we need to keep those stats in mind as these guys continue to become a part of the conversation We appreciate your our takeaways. Thank you Joining us now ladies and gentlemen was the man who was the bell of the ball of this college football coaching cycle That has begun much earlier than in years past He led the Penn State Nittany Lions for over a decade into an area of success that became a national championship or bus type conversation every single year But when he took over the program, it was not at that stage It was at a very different stage when he was able to accomplish there obviously led to the rest of the country saying we want him as our head Coach Virginia Tech became the official university that signed him ladies and gentlemen the new hokey football head coach James I do Guys, how are we doing? How's the press? I feel like you nailed it.
I only saw a couple clips I didn't get to see the entire thing, but I feel like you brought good energy I feel like there was excitement in the room is that what you felt as well? I think so I'm gonna wait to hear what you have to say because you determined that but but yeah, I thought it was good Hasn't fun with it. There's a lot of excitement enthusiasm as you guys know you got the core cadets here Which is a huge part of the university and program. They were in there going crazy.
So it's been great. It's been great Okay, so let's talk about what happened obviously you get let go from Penn State early in the year after a couple game Slide that I don't think you or anybody could have ever expected a Penn State all of a sudden your name is on the market You come on a college game day and we basically have a conversation with you and thank you for doing that still to this day That was one of the coolest things that has happened on game day Especially with how loud it all was around it and basically you implied I am a football coach. That is where I am all we are gonna do now is take what we learned in trying to win a national championship And go win a national championship somewhere else through this entire process Have you reflected more on that particular thing and what exactly do you think you take from so many years of experience at one place in the spotlight And bring to Virginia Tech who's open to get back there? Yeah, so I think the question is a great one and what I would say is right It's it's unique There hasn't been too many guys that have been a head coach in the SEC head coach in the Big Ten Really unusual success at a place like Vanderbilt that hadn't had that type of success before and then go to Penn State When a Big Ten championship the first year off of sanctions the last three years We had more success than anybody in the country before programs and a few plays away for playing for the national championship So we're very proud of what we were able to achieve there And I'm forever grateful for that time and experience So being able to use all those lessons and experiences and now bring it to the ACC The ACC was my first break at the University of Maryland working for Ralph Regent so I've experienced there I've been a coach in the NFL with the Green Bay Packers So just gonna take all these experiences that I've been able to have and and and pour them into my time here at Virginia Tech So excited about the opportunity obviously we got a ton of work to do college football has changed You have the ability to flip your roster a lot faster than when I took over those other two programs and we're excited about the opportunity Okay, so let's talk about that.
What does it look like for the next few weeks? I season goes on you're obviously monitoring locker room playing practice kind of seeing who are your guys who are not like What is it look like for the next couple weeks as you kind of get introduced to the football team while they're still playing? But you know that's kind of an interesting dynamic Rich Rod did it last year at West Virginia He was around for the last two games And I think he learned a lot about the locker room about who he thought from the practice what it looks like Maybe what he can see in some of the guys and maybe not is that same thing for you or how are you kind of going about it? Well, I was timing you to see how long you'd have a it would take you to bring the conversation back to West Virginia Which is always a part of what you're going to talk about right?
But yeah, it's it's different and it's it's unique right being able to be here two weeks early the calendar has changed I think that's why you're seeing a lot of athletic directors and presidents making some of the decisions they're making We're gonna have an official visit this weekend We're gonna have an official visit next weekend a lot of these schools are not gonna be able to have that and then we're gonna go into a dead period So some of these programs are gonna live are gonna lose an entire high school recruiting class So I got I got to do that we got to spend time evaluating the current staff I want to be very respectful coach for coach Montgomery and what he has done here I do want to get up in front of the team and just settle them that I'm excited about getting to know them and build relationships with them But then also obviously making sure that we're doing whatever we got to do to increase the competition level in every position Okay, I love to hear that and obviously one transfer portal is now the new rule in that is in January Is that what it is? December January is obviously what's will be interesting for the other coaching jobs on who the coaches are potentially gonna go to those other jobs You know because if they're in a playoff then transport all other place weird You're a good spot. I think I think this is a good move getting this thing done early and being able to kind of put your fingerprints on the Kind of franchise earlier now you guys have Miami at home. Okay, that means one thing and one thing alone Go ahead con man.
Yeah coach and grads again, and I read that you're 128 and 60 So everyone who was talking shit about you it's like who cares I want way more games than you did But when you think about Virginia Tech have you visualized yet kind of that first Entrance into the stadium with enter Sam and with all the boys You know behind you and have you also already made enter Sam and you are ringtone because it is one of the greatest on top Yeah, so can't wait to have the opportunity to run in the stadium with enter Sam man I will tell you I think you know this I'm more of kind of an R&B rap hip hop type of guy Yeah, Jay Z Biggie But I appreciate good music whatever it is and all I really care about is is what it does to the fans and that place is rocking I've been on the other side of it not as fun So I'm looking forward to have an opportunity to do that We'll get a chance to see it this year as well. I've watched the last couple games even after a challenging season This place is rocking we're gonna need it rocking again on Saturday because we're gonna have a ton of recruits at the game But yeah, it's exciting. It's one of the better. I think entrances if not the best in all college football Now Mattelica might send us a C&D just for doing what we just did right there They run a tight ship on their business.
Yes, they do Which actually makes me respect them even more now that I'm growing older in this particular business We need to get you to an italica concert. I think it would be a spiritual experience for you Just take your food all as you get ready now Penn State alum obviously Penn State legend aq shipling has a question for you Coach coach good to say you I don't see I hate those colors on you But before I get to my question, I think I think I need to say this right obviously as a former Penn State or former Penn State player I think everybody appreciates everything you didn't I think when this whole thing is done and we move past everything I think everybody down the road is gonna look back and say what you did when you took it over and what you did in that time Everybody will be forever grateful for that. I think I think that needs to be said but having said that I appreciate it Having said that is there any thought to picking a staff now or you evaluating the current staff Do you have some guys in mind that are kind of locks already or you kind of waiting to evaluate your own team and your own staff before you get to that? Yeah So as you know, I got guys that have been with me when I when I left Vanderbilt what the Penn State I brought 16 people with me.
I think a lot of times these coaches they get these jobs and they act like it's all about them Right? I didn't do this by myself. I've had great people around me and that's what it's all about So there's some people that are core to me and will continue to be but I also want to be very respectful of the people that poured their hearts and souls Into this program here at Virginia Tech and I want to be respectful of that So we'll take some time to get to know the staff to interview some people and then put the puzzle together That's that's the Penn State people as well as some of the Virginia Tech people and then also nationally We got to be great in the footprint but in today's college football You got to be able to go nationally as well because as you guys know I don't know why this is but when you're running inside zone and you hand it off to say quan barkley for some reason the Plays work better So as the coaches the coaches we get a lot of credit But this is a players game and we want to make sure that we got really good players in all phases that can impact the game to Echo your sentiment I think coach shaven says like I learned quickly that I was I was okay coach with not good players I was considered a great coach with really good players So that is what we are trying to do at all times Which is why I think the grindstone that you have on recruiting is such an advantage and why everybody was kind of seeking you as their coach Go ahead time. Yes speaking of that coach.
How much does that change now that you're at Virginia Tech and it's a situation where you're trying to kind of restore a program To its former excellence in glory whereas when you're at Penn State you're at an established blue blood You know when you're going into these kids houses that you can tell them and be a hundred percent truthful Okay, we're going to compete for a national championship every single year you're on campus So like does that does the pitch change does the way you go about recruiting change or just how is it different now being at Virginia Tech trying to build them back up as opposed to when you're at Penn State Well, I think that's changed right We've seen that in college football the landscape has changed and as long as you're at a place that's committed at the highest level to win You can do it this this season and last season. There's been there's been evidence of that There's also again the ability to turn your roster over quickly with veteran players We're still going to be a high school developmental program Because I think if you make the decision to go all in on the portal It's hard to ever come out of that because you're gonna have so much turnover every single year that you're forced to stay in that world And we'd like to have a healthy balance between the two I do think in year one We're gonna have an opportunity to get a bunch of players out of the transfer portal that can come in and help us compete right away And there's also enough talent on this current roster. That's gonna create a really competitive environment But long term we'd like to have a balance between high school recruiting as our base and then compliment with that with the portal Yeah, it feels like the mindset very NFL like you build your culture through the draft and then free agency comes in and kind of takes You the next step hopefully like to hear that you have the experience in this world and also view it the same way I think that's why the Virginia Tech you know, they interviewed 20 people I have no idea how many people they interviewed 20 be a told us now he signed an NDA So let's not tell us anything basically throughout then we got him to lose looseners left a little bit He said that NDA that NDA is over now that the contracts was signed That's on you guys to figure out with me Yeah, but he mentioned like they talked over 20 different people or whatever and from the beginning you were the guy And I think it's because and I assume that's other jobs as well They were thinking the exact same thing just understanding the current world I think is a massive advantage having a brand new coach like a coordinator or you know, maybe an up-and-coming promising type coach Take it over right now. You have no idea how it's gonna go for you.
You had such a great resume It's like I think you're in such a good position. They always say like the second time you get to do something Now this is like your third time getting to do something but like every time you only get better and better in Virginia Tech Spoon a lot of money and I think that no idea I think they are also all behind athletics We're excited for this story for you now on that note D-bud has a question for you Absolutely coach. You got the resources and with the with the transfer portal You can turn over the roster much quicker. You mentioned that a bunch of times, but as far as like a realistic timeline I know you want to win right now.
What is your realistic timeline to compete for that national championship outside looking? Every also, hey, ACC is getable every year, so you're gonna be in the dance What's that realistic timeline for you to get your culture into Virginia Tech? Yeah, well, obviously there's a lot to be determined there, right? I just got on campus about two hours ago.
I need to evaluate the current roster I need to see how recruiting is going to go I need to see what's gonna be available in the transfer portal what coaches there's there's so Many different moving parts, but the reality is we're gonna be aggressive. We're gonna be very aggressive from day one We're not gonna put any ceilings on who and what we can be and wake up every single morning and give Virginia Tech everything We got but you know I think to your point the investment level is what it's all about college football has changed And the reality is this place made some decisions before I was even part of the conversation Which was helpful that it wasn't just me coming in saying here all the things we need to do they'd already done their benchmarking Into ACC as well as nationally and I think that allowed the conversation to go faster and smoother. Go for you coach enjoy it all we can't wait to watch what it becomes over there and don't be scared to schedule West Virginia whenever it comes across your desk. Mmm.
So so that's twice you've been able to bring up West Virginia It's unbelievable like do they pay you? No, it's actually other way New landscape, you know a lot of money I get it. You know you gotta do what you gotta do for the good of the squad for the good of it But I do think like those old big East I guess rivalries in West Virginia Virginia Tech in the state of West Virginia on the southern side there Charles stay in that area like Virginia Tech still considered like massive rivalry with West Virginia I think a lot of people was reading for the way and I think Virginia Tech people still feel that way as well So if we can make that dance take place, we should definitely be doing that Just you know, I still love the Pittsburgh accent. You know my dad's from the Hill District So I love I love here in the program.
I love here at all the little yeah, yeah, you know, I love all that stuff Hey, why don't you drop it in there up there and you know up there in the heels of Virginia Tech? We want to saloon up there. Where were we at Foxy? We want to saloon up there.
It was a great time. It was awesome Copperhead Road came on another song you love I know you love that song copperhead road came on and People were sprinting down the street into the saloon to get on to the dance floor so they can line it was one of the most Electric environments of the part of it. Did you get out? Did you get out there with the belt buckle that you love?
You were out there? Yeah, it's the electric slide with an extra kick. I learned so that is Yeah, so it was a row nook we were in which I don't know how close that is to black spark over there But it's a wonderful area. They love ball there man.
They love ball over there So hopefully so the so the electric side with the electric slide with a little extra kick step Yeah, boom in we're going bang the bang the bang the bang the bang the bang the bang the bang the bang the bang the bang the Bang the boom here bang the kick into the back and then you turn that thing Okay, oh yeah, yeah, so as I was watching them from aside I was watching them from side I was trying because they spelt like the moment to be a part of this one There was people there was like a 75 year old man over here That was just housing diesels. Okay, just at the board legend copper headroom came on. I watched him fuck Here's me getting this thing in the middle. Yeah, I Bang bang bang.
I don't know if that's hot bread road cuz I think Foxy was actually doing copper that's me right there But yeah, yeah, yeah, and obviously You have some rhythm I didn't realize you had that much rhythm from Pittsburgh coach you fucking hurt you just said What you think this is what you think this is James and we need to get you a goddamn attack the concert aces New burger out there, too. Yeah, you need a different burger. We can't do a turkey burger there You know you do that last time I know I try to do with a healthy deal the players gave me a hard time about that So this what we learned whenever I learned from the last place I think right there's it's all process you learn you adjust the next one will have a pound of bacon on it That's one of my lessons that I learned don't have the healthy burger at the local restaurant see that might have been The only try just trying to get better. I might have been the thing.
Oh, yeah, oh I'm gonna be thought of it now. I mean what have been best right? Perfect time for Virginia. Yeah, you're right.
That's right. You know the right congratulations. You deserve all this We can't wait to watch it ladies and gentlemen coach James for He's he's layers. Yeah, he knows exactly who we are to You know like he knows exactly like he understands because his dad's from the Hill District about how people from Pittsburgh view Penn State people if they did not go to Penn State So like he has never taken any disrespect from anything that is being a shit-talking situation And then obviously getting a chance to know he put us right outside of his office Yeah, I mean let us rate outside of sweet as a much different time You know what this show is broadcast right outside of his office Everyone the National Championship was like 10 years ago Oh my god 70 employees working on the social media department alone and recruiting just kind of get a go and they have a full operation And then a couple things are happy Over time lost the organ.
Yeah, that's it true. Aller breaks his leg. That was it. It was the overtime loss Just send him off a deep UCLA can't have it.
Yeah, it's a good Western. You can say that was that was that was that was the end You see like no it was it is getting new haslid North Western at home. Yeah, but that was after UCLA That's what I'm saying. You guys said that was the end that was the end that was the beginning of the end Yeah, no, there was another one that came immediately afterwards I'm not saying that's James Franklin's fault But I'm just saying like I got over time when I lost the organ is that James Franklin's fault I don't think so that's a but also could have won I get multiple different times didn't excuse don't win that game You see like you're gonna get new haslid maybe that you put that one on it North Western and home It's like is anybody showing up like what what what the hell is going on out here So he just kind of unraveled quickly and then going into the season It was like hey what better when a national championship and then everybody has his record against top team Well, who are the top teams that are counting for that record?
Oh the national champs normally? Yeah, that is normally the national champs It's like nobody's beating the teams Yeah, that he is in there and he talked about having the fourth most wins or fifth most wins in the country or whatever it is It was like Penn State was sick of hearing it like that It's just it gets to that point so like a perfect refresh for him and for doing it tech and you guys trying to I don't know who you guys are gonna hire I'll be excited to see who that is that has to kind of go from this point But it did feel like a refresh was inevitable. It did feel like that. Absolutely.
I think I know we should I mean I was pretty loud about it last week and once I did a little bit more digging You got five Super Bowl wins and a national champion offensive coordinator Alabama. Is that a good resume? Brian table that's about fit but when you when you're talking about Penn State Over time game we forget it was 17 to 3 they're about to lose 24 to 3 in the fourth quarter And then they have this massive comeback even to get it to over time So like you're talking about a good coach like having your players believe enough to the point where you're at home the whole crowds dead It's the fourth quarter. There's 14 minutes left and they're still fighting in battle and just to get it to overtime I think there's a lot of moments where you can say James Franklin very good coach Yeah, you know and then there's a record that everybody points out and says well well It's like what a lot of game get well and only one big ten there.
It was a long time ago in football places Yes, I mean it's happening in Pittsburgh. It's in football places. It's like yeah Good job That's good. I mean we can't talk shit to anybody Okay, we like to say people running to an Ohio State person and it's an immediate Hey guys, and then the Ohio State person says you guys getting better We think that is how football people feel from Penn State So I think a refresh was inevitable this year if they didn't go on a win in that which is crazy expectations right because only one team We win that so like him going to a new place that is like desperate for that type of shit and him being able to build it Learn from it good for coach.
Yeah, I think it's good for them and then whatever Penn State ends up doing it's like if they end up getting there It's good for them. Yeah, those are the expectations you want as a coach Especially when you're recruiting and the one thing I would say close to equally as important as winning win in national championship Is how much talent do you send to the NFL because when you're sitting in your cruise living room and you can run down that what we're so hey We got this many guys that's been trapped in first second whatever round they may have been this many stars They came here they developed and I said like this is my track record That's just as important as you know winning national championships and winning these things you see guys now They go to school and you got to be recruited every year anyway So if I know I'm going to play for a coach or if I'm a parent and I know my kid really wants Hey, let me go to a coach who's done it time and time and time again You heard him mention say one there. Hey, hey, don't know if you remember. Yeah.
Yeah, yeah that guy Yeah, it was all his guys though like Michael I mean whenever he was at Penn State like his track record from the time he got there They were always combined for each they always ran four threes at 40 in verticals went on to the next level guys may have had just a Average college career and then you go on and all the sudden pro ball pro ball pro ball Go on right. It's just the list goes on Yeah, Mike Parsons Michael Parsons numbers in the NFL or 10 X when it was a Penn State and he's Virginia Tech said coach right now Virginia Tech the big that's the thing if they win is that Virginia Tech is if they win nine or ten games next year like they'll Burn Blacksburg to the ground good for Virginia Tech. I happen to see you guys are in ball I like any school that says we're investing in ball. This is clearly that let's talk about college football Let's head over to hammer.
Yeah, see F. P brand new CFP put out there predicted playoff at this seat How do you feel about it? Tony? What's the conversation coming out?
Yeah, so the one through eight was exactly how I thought it would go Obviously of Ohio State, Indiana, a m Georgia five Texas Tech six Ole Miss seven Oregon. That was exactly right with Oklahoma at eight I had Alabama at nine the CFP committee disagreed. They have Notre Dame at nine So now I don't know if anybody's seen on the internet Notre Dame is now public enemy number one Everyone is taking shots at Notre Dame's Bama fans BYU fans Miami fans Vandy fans in the new CFP chair Hunter. You're checked did not do them any favors last night Foxy I don't know if you have the video when he was asked about Notre Dame in Miami last night I think when you look reset Notre Dame in Miami We really compare the losses of those two teams Miami has lost the two unranked teams Notre Dame has lost the two teams that are ranked in our top 13 And so we really haven't compared those two teams They haven't been in similar comparative pools to date But Miami is creeping up into that range where they will be compared to Notre Dame if something happens above them Let's keep that audio all the way up on Reese in the arena Go ahead, bigs so people people are pissed that they're not in the same comparative pools Even though they played each other in Miami one and he basically also said that Good losses are better than good wins when it kind of comes to Alabama because Alabama's Three more wins I think at the top 25 teams versus Notre Dame So people are very very mad at him and very very mad at Notre Dame right now Yeah, and you know Mac Rhodes Baylor athletic director was the chair of the CFP committee He steps down amongst a miss a bunch of things happening Who knows what ends up being that this guy steps in and I'll tell you he's a little bit more robotic than we expected But and the answers he's given sounds like he's reading from a script So we need him be a little bit more believable because if you start changing what you're judging upon each week Which would be possible with what you did here this time Oh, it's only gonna get louder.
Yeah, and that's why we're thankful. We're not in that seat in a day. Are good job in there It worked. I'd be heard we're gonna judge you so hard.
You're never gonna get it right But we need to be a little bit more personable when you're doing these answers because it sounds like you're being forced to say what you're saying right there You don't even believe it do a studio show to don't don't do it from Madison Square Garden where it's loud shit I get it, but it they could still don't studio show you can just do this though. I think I think that's up But why don't we'll see you next hour? Hey sports fans the ESPN app has all of ESPN all in one place The ESPN app is your home to thousands of live events ESPN shows and originals across every ESPN network in service And now you can check if you already have ESPN and limited as part of your TV package for no additional calls visit activate.espn.com To learn how to access your account or sign up then start streaming in the ESPN app It's all the ESPN all in one place sign up or activate now And welcome back to our On this walk Wednesday November 19, 2025 hour to the program begins now football is the greatest we're so lucky we get to talk about it every single day the toxic table Here at Boston Connor in that time Schmidt nine year NFL vet Darius J but here 12 year NFL vet Super Bowl champion player coach for the Tampa Bay Buck and here's a Q shipless you're a baby Live from hammer Thank you, you think they're gonna remain consistent with what their criteria is for a ranking for the rest of the way Or do you think maybe there is a little bit of dodging and weaving that they're gonna do to maybe pick who they want to pick? Yeah, they're gonna dodge dip dive doh get dodge this whole thing Whatever their feel that we can feels like potentially yeah, it does feel like it's gonna be loud And maybe they do this on purpose, you know, there is There's an old Everybody's alright there just just choking to the microphone almost did choke on the water There used to be something where like Dan or Lowski would give a take and we say Dan clearly put one of those things out there Just stir the butt like here's four actual things and then there's one that is just like we think I've never been told this Is done by somebody who actually did it but we as humans who take in content can realize that sometimes it seems like one of these things Is strictly in here to stir shit right like it feels like this one is the attention seeker and then you come into the other one You do feels like that has been a strategy that has been used by content creators, especially in the sports world for a while now Feels like that something is that what the CFP do it?
Are they gonna leave like one thing each week for people to get incredibly upset about like I do wonder if that conversation Especially 100 back into 100 up and charge like alright. What do we we need? Okay, so that's what we actually think now we need to do something just to keep people kind of interested because what if they put one Out that everybody agreed upon what that ever happened with that ever happen with that ever happen football fan bases No, I don't think it's possible, but yeah, they need to merge with the BCS old system It's time the BCS problem was that they only had to pick two teams out of a bunch now Merge with the BCS system and help these people because the BCS is a robot and we'll probably still speak better than what we heard yesterday It's one of those things where that's the biggest portion of the CFP committee Like we need a transparent communicator on what the hell's going on because that's why we didn't like BCS We still don't have that at least BC That's true Foxy, what was your read you watch a lot of these film to figure out which clips Yeah, I watched it last night my only takeaway was I felt like they he already knew the questions like they told him Hey, we're gonna ask you this we're gonna ask you this and he had all those answers can and there was no reputtle on his Answers and that's why I felt like he already knew what he was being asked as a non Listen, I understand the rebuttal situation, especially in those conversations We're not saying anything about Reese Davis at all No, we are saying is the way it's set up I think recently one that's allowed to talk I think that's a part of the entire deal and it's like I think the CFP committee understands It's gonna be loud no matter what we say so let's just kind of get through this and then let's keep it moving I do wish there was a little bit of pizzazz on that person. I do wish there was a little hey, there's 12 people here Okay, so we're trying what everybody has their own opinions.
We thought Notre Dame. Yeah, yeah, they lose that game But how about how they win though this game and then we think for Alabama? Yeah for state they lost force look for state That's who they lost to yeah, they won four straight ranked games Can't stop the way things that we viewed as thoughts white too, but they still showed up one time very early season Did I guess for say it's like if they just said that I think we'd be like okay? So this is what it is, but I don't think they can't I legitimately don't know what the right answer is for any of them No, I give mr.
Jurichek You know the benefit of the doubt a little bit because I believe he is the AD at Arkansas correct who big yeah exactly So he don't give a shit right now. He's up to his eyeballs trying to figure out who his next head football coach is gonna be No, he wants to talk about what's going on all these other schools in the SEC They're getting in meanwhile. He's thinking Jesus Christ. We just had their throwing bricks through my window For sale signs in my front yard and I got it talk about how good Alabama is it Georgia and a and I think he's miserable not Robotic I think so I think all he's thinking about is Jesus Christ I am the AD at Arkansas and we are so fucking far away from being in this conversation I gotta get up here and talk about all my my rivals and all these other people I think I accept it was eyeballs and he's just figured out I just got to swim forward I was thinking as well as I was I mean just talking to James Franklin like you can't have a motherless football team Yeah, you just can't and that's one of the biggest things especially in college football if you do especially now What are you gonna do with all your recruits like are they all gonna leave our Like that's a problem.
You have a motherless one fatherless mother You can't have a football team without you know Peter head figures of your football team and in the SEC like we're talking about Virginia Techout part is and that's the ACC We know it's different down there for ease of comparison There's BCS no house tweet from last night the latest college football playoff rankings against our most up-to-date Simulator BCS said or high state Indiana, Texas A&M Georgia High state Indiana, Texas A&M Georgia They had Ole Miss after Georgia They have Texas Tech Oregon sitting at 6th in the BCS one Texas Tech, Oklahoma Notre Dame at nine on both sides Alabama at 10 on both sides BYU Utah and in Vandy in Miami CFP committee has Miami much higher than the simulated BCS would have but you can say hey There's some numbers you can put behind the sign Yeah, I was a man whose team sits atop them all and I don't think he's gonna get millions of dollars He's has a Halloween party where he dresses up like Whatever's your untasteful this year with bad taste not just I mean Lot of the Halloween's I think coming out of this particular state maybe as a whole were certainly fascinating But this man these college football national champions your boat champion Ryder Cup winner all-time leading tackle for the greenbackers ladies and gentlemen Who has a treat on the Ohio State University campus? Happy Halloween I was honored past president. I was a couple so it was very tasteful Yeah, I understand you're buying into the gimmick and those Halloween's obviously and all the events that you go to the We could see with booze and cruising the thing you do out there always raising money to make the city better into the hospital And also to get good players. Yeah, exactly also get good players.
Let's make the world better and routine better Let's come together for good cause of Buckeye so I appreciate everything you've given back there whenever you see the CFP playoff predictions at this time Other season obviously it's easy to say no this matters none of this matters none of this matters kind of does that whenever we start to get a Sense of how the committee feels about certain teams and programs anything that kind of scared you about last night Or do you think all of this is gonna play itself out because there's a lot of games left and getting mad about this on this Particular day is not maybe the best usage of your energy No, I mean I understand people getting mad about this I mean be excited if you think you're up a spot or two more than you thought you would or if you're getting you're slightly left out I can see people with fan base is getting pissed, but we still have some time that teams can still figure it out But yeah, that's a tough job for what mr. What's name again You're a check hunter. You're a check whooping you think they're just worried about saying so like I don't know they think like miss speaking so they want to make sure they have an idea and he doesn't just fly off the Handles and say something crazy Yeah, maybe doesn't know what the questions are but I understand the general basis of and they all go through maybe what we're gonna Say to all these different things just you know, it may be ties right maybe this guy's so miserable You know, maybe this guy is just so miserable as he's talking But it really felt like he was an authority on things and was stating things that were piece together And I'm not saying the previous chairs have been any better I mean there's no information only coming out of this but now they're starting to set a precedent a little bit even with the new chair We would like to wish them good luck and all these teams have an opportunity to play themselves in or play themselves out except for who Hi State Indiana. Yep.
Thanks. Ain't that yep? That's probably it right. Yeah.
Yeah, Georgia loses a Georgia Tech and then loses any SEC Championship They've got them three losses, which is probably a big time conversation That's the only thing though Do they have three last year when they lost the SEC title game or when they won the I forget what it was But aren't they kind of going with the you make it to the conference championship game with two losses and then you lose your conference Championship game It's gonna be hard for them to eliminate those teams So that's not been officially placed in but I think we all have kind of agreed that like hey if you make it to the big 10 champion or the SEC championship They're you should get a bid. Yes, because you and then whether like we will maybe is what the CP committee said last year It's like everything's taken into account what teams are playing what teams are not playing they like never gave us an answer that like yes It's okay if you get a loss of championship, but it did worry a lot of college coaches like well championship game Is not a good thing to go to because it might be a third loss and then all of a sudden you're being judged against the other three lost teams As opposed to SEC championship team. It's a very that's why the job is impossible They open this thing up to 16 like was allegedly being pitched open up to 30 like it's being pitched Oh, dude, it's gonna be impossible no matter what it is and how many teams can actually go and win the national championship Let's head back to hammer time time. What do you got?
I think actually with Georgia's situation because one of Bama's losses is to Florida State, which is not in the SEC so their Conference loss would be to Oklahoma and they have the head to head against Georgia So I think even if Georgia wins out if as long as Bama wins out as well and a and M It'll actually be a and M and Bama in SEC Championship If I remember correctly from thinking correctly in that situation I could be wrong, but I Bama has the head to head advantage over Georgia right now and they both only have one conference loss So I think Georgia's actually gonna be a really nice spot where they just play the rest of their regular season out Whatever happens in the SEC Championship happens and then things will fall as they fall So that's are you saying those top four in we think regardless yes, congratulations. That's awesome I personally think Texas Tech is in as well. Well wait. Hold on.
Let me clarify I know they got a West Virginia Morgan time. I know they got the Mountaineers next week But if they take care of the West Virginia, I don't see them dropping from five So saw that filthy 90 yard touchdown pass. Yeah, it was great throw. Yeah, darn on the money Now run back to take that thing 92 yards of that 93 or think whatever the case is good run But we got good team on some hard edges if we ever get this we make the big 12 chance Yeah, but Texas Tech's defense is unbelievable.
You think you're gonna be able to get this against that You might not be able to get this Exactly We can't it over yeah, we're gonna start it on back or they got a D line No, that is a dog like to hunt a very big very athletic very strong very fast Yeah, that is a worry, you know because it does feel like throughout a majority of the year the problem you see lies in the trenches And it feels like a starting group well the solution can be found in the trenches as well Which I think is something that could have been addressed maybe any obviously But it certainly is being addressed right now if you look at the local headlines But the starting line has gotten like kind of worse not like they've kind of like stayed the same got worse Which is not supposed to happen. No, you know like throughout the year you think people moving other people though They know what they do So I heard that Texas A&M What they are very very very very very strong at West Virginia Maybe not our best in somehow getting worse maybe as the season progresses and on that note And you know sorry, and with the boys getting a little motivation maybe Kevin Brock maybe his jawline and the couch thing Mm-hmm through its way Bluetooth in to that offensive line or saying what boys? We're starting to get big time of cruising off and line Maybe we should learn how to play football good, you know, and maybe they start really doing well and that could happen this week It's a Texas tech team that could happen possible Tony up some clarity on the SEC Yeah, so they went out it is a and M and Bama Georgia would need either Texas to beat A&M or Auburn to beat Bama to get into the SEC Hey, Christ your things have happened. That's right.
Yeah, I think the big thing though You mentioned it earlier is with everyone being pissed about Notre Dame like at this point they play Syracuse and Stanford You know so it's like really the only thing unless Notre Dame absolutely collapses Which I don't think anyone thinks it's like they're only gonna move up so they're just gonna piss more people off So if you're one of these teams, it's kind of like a you might just need to swallow that poison pill and realize that Notre Dame Probably is gonna be in there. Yeah, Notre Dame very good. I actually had a conversation with Jeremiah Love that would be running at some point today He is very likable to not only you see like a Heisman potential winner He is phenomenal and the way he talks about Marcus Freeman and the team and the brotherhood and the culture and the way they've been playing Since those losses, it's like I know we all don't love it But it's like a very real thing Notre Dame gets a lot of eyes on them I'm very regular basis so people see their team where they're at as opposed to watching film of these teams Which some of these you know CFP committee members probably have to do in the moment It's like Notre Dame is being followed by everybody all the time So when things are up and to the right they're always gonna get the benefit of the doubt it feels like not saying It's right. It's just a reality situation people absolutely I love these conversations.
I love talking about it. Look you can't we're your way, you know We'll have a high-speed finalist with Joey Fernando We'll have a call for water I'm gonna say pronounce I know Skylar Bill while receiver, but the thing I do get most excited about outside the actual games that song That song No Yeah I Know I Know Oh I'm a regular record or both in over-react but last game fought now our guys aren't flopping around They're not divas punch-punch team. I found a bunch of dogs. Is that your husband your team and why don't you have any Americans?
What's that you don't like Americans? What's going on here? We're open to them. We've discussed a few Americans in the transfer window.
Oh, I mean a couple of these teams But I mean there's Spain and England are different games also You have to understand that Spain's a different game. It's a much more technical game England's a little more physical Physical game from that standpoint, so it's it's been really interesting watching the two different Differences between leagues and how they play these games because they are completely different styles. Okay, so in glain We're a little bigger stronger and down we're gonna end up later making some plays Spain We're kind of knocking around a little bit. We need a little bit more individual school and also maybe a little bit more flopping Rolling around in dramatic.
Is that what you're saying a little bit more that I don't know about all that but there is certainly a lot of Technique and tactical play in there, but I mean that's it's coming. It's everywhere I mean pet Man City obviously brought a lot of that with him when he came over from Barcelona and It's it's really fun to watch it's fun to break down and you have to try and find a way to keep up because the teams at the top Obviously have so much money to be able to spend on the very top players were the best technical players in the world And when you literally can't spend at the same level you have to find different tactics to keep up and That's that's where we're not in the relegation zone by the way. Yes, I didn't say it. I didn't say it Yeah, you know we're at the bottom in the relegation's were right above it.
Is that where you are right there right above it? Hey, you know those three red lines we ain't one of them right? Yeah, right. Oh, yeah, you're right.
We're still fighting. We're scrapping out here. We had a tough. We got a big one 730 a.m.
Eastern time what they match this weekend Saturday, so you'll be taking your shirt will be off by that time so we'll see You know, they're Oregon where you guys here Oregon Eugene Eugene USC's time this year Yeah, second time by the month or so always a always a good scene, you know They say for game day since long before I got there since I've been there always a great scene out there early You know any of those pitch black ones that kind of start and then there's kind of a daylight at the end And I don't know how the rest of the guys on stage everybody on the show feels feels like you know when you walk out of a casino Mm-hmm. Yeah, that's kind of what it feels like about two and a half hours in that show is that Sun starts to really come up And start to be a little bit and it's like well, okay, here we go The day has just begun and somehow the people that are from out there they're getting empowered by this thing They somehow are out there early and are even more there some of the best fans I think that all the sports have out there in Oregon and they've always had a great scene Montana Beyond at 4 30 a.m. So if you need if you need something to really get your gears going 4 30 a.m. Burnley kicked off out There I'll be up.
I probably wake up We're gonna go to a small school. I thought so there's an opportunity Montana Montana State Dave Flade 147 times I think is that right tone 147? It's a hundred twenty fourth brawl of the wild. I was nowhere in New York I was breathing Bobcats, right?
Yeah, isn't Bobcats up there? Boom. Yes, you have Missoula Bozeman. Yeah 124 times they played this is the highest they've both been ranks Obviously, they're one and two.
I think right now, right? Is that on accurate? Two and three. What?
Perfect. You know that too. This Pat. Why did you choose this one?
I didn't choose it. You chose it. Don't lie. We all know you have more power than anybody in that entire building Not a game day for this particular program.
Yeah, I fucking got it. Yeah, I definitely do both back. You go first Yeah, and you pick every $2 million. Let's be honest who holds the power here.
That's my pocket. That's the money coming out I know yeah, I think you're paying more than that the whole show production They're making a lot of money on the show home Depot pays a lot of money for that show Yeah, old and mean friend line. Yeah, they feel a lot more. They're getting up there.
Where is the limit? Where is the limit for the amount you are putting on a kick? I don't know. I don't know.
You got a slow down Your wife call you after she call you. Hey, hey, that was two million dollars. It's not just the wife. You know, it's also busy We got 18 employees here.
I mean, there's a lot of people there probably like hey, what are we doing? I hate rooting to get these kids. I do exactly. I root against them every single time.
Fuck those kids. I agree. So it's age Yes, I do get the messages from people say hey, let's go ahead. What are we doing here?
You know these get showed up way to go Okay, that means I guess they should just get you know something that we have worked our asses off for here in this entire thing Yeah, that's right. I just made it too big You can't go back to a hundred thousand dollars kick now some kids gonna be like I don't want to even show up for this Yeah, and there's no business that's gonna be like yeah You can just say whatever number you want out there which kind of makes it you know the kind of the whole thing So it's a it's certainly I've worked myself into a shoot here and it is certainly if you've come up with your big brain any Out to this thing we will certainly I'm loving watching it man. You're on a track in there is no offshoot This isn't like one of those semi trucker up the ramps you are zooming down the hill Yeah, yeah, and there's no more floating in here is actually I think he's just kind of bopping around and it says we're doing this one right here Peter brush off the edge. Yeah, Peter.
He tried to be put on a kid Oh, yeah, and then maybe get worried about Peter's long season. It was tired. I'm taking a nap. Yeah He's actually becoming like a mature dog.
I'm like watching it happen good. Here's good dog. Yeah, he's so big He's so big. He's tongue never I don't know if he's he's a tall Oh, he's a little talker time to give Mitch a shot man That bit is nicer than than the bed I see it.
Yeah change cut up. She's been doing it a long time. Okay Kirk Curtis has been doing it a long time. He's on a road a lot at pillow so nice So nice actually wish is it was a worse one.
Yeah, I'm gonna get a little imprint in there Yeah, but sweet boy Peter's the best Peter is a great dog her be obviously in the middle of the hell over run tomorrow night kicks off week 12 of the NFL season Let's chitchat a little bit about you know I heard you were making some faces there as we were playing the 12 down to one before we get to the NFL You don't like the college football playoff song. I mean, it's it looks like it was made by the people that made that it's a bill song dude what you got against schoolhouse banger. Yeah, I'm just yeah, it was phenomenal in 1995 I want to let you know if you're watching this thing live That angry okay, okay, just as a response it What is the celebration it's more schools get a shot shot? Video aligns with the thoughts of the people making the decisions I've played that song more than any other platform.
I've never seen it outside of the show in my life I have never seen it outside of the show. They played it once on college game And Matt Garrett actually as it was playing was like this is strictly for you right now And obviously I'm singing this thing. I think it was maybe I'd work in last year. It was it was quite a moment Yeah, I think we're gonna have it down.
I mean you guys we thought we did what to a one two three go First round five Quarter panel's new year six both on a rotating basis. Yeah, that's a bar. You know that you're six rotating basis. Hey Tating six.
I mean that is I mean not to mention the life. You don't even fucking know man if we played those those sounded awesome So we start a 12 count down one. Let's go back to the NFL You had the bucks in the bills Josh Allen is just absurd What is the time of your take away from his historic day him and Otto Graham the only ones in the history to do what he did this past Sunday with JJ what on the call and I would say jage I saw the people tweeting that they enjoy you and Mr. Eagle on the call I will after that sentiment I think you guys are very good at what you do and you commentated history this weekend with Josh Allen What are your thoughts on the Buffalo Beals and what they can do with Josh?
They were the crazy game man nine lead changes. I believe that second most in a game in NFL history It was a nuts game. It was awesome back and forth I mean very first drive of the game top bolt was heating Josh up and he just passed an interception out of his own end zone And you were kind of like oh boy Where's this one headed and then he just casually has three passing touchdowns three rushing touchdowns and you hear his interview I believe it was you know today yesterday and he said I still don't think I played my best I missed a few throws and if you watch this game, that's actually true, which is scary like he played unbelievable He was playing free. He was playing like Superman.
He was playing like Josh Allen You know you watch that Miami game two weeks ago and you're like what's wrong with this bill's office Great and then you watch them this week and he is completely free playing how he wants to be try to lateral while He was running down the field ended up being a forward pass But just seeing him try those things and do those things was nuts But he even still could have been better at his own admission There were a couple balls that he missed and he would love to have back So it's if they really start to figure this thing out They've gone through a little rough patch in the middle of the season But that builds team with that offense now on the other side the run defense is a problem Yeah, you can't win a Super Bowl without right. I mean, that's just kind of understood at this point I mean unless you can score 44 every time but no they uh they need Thanks Just don't understand 12 10 to 1 o'clock. Just zip it What's the key? What's the deal?
Why did you do? What's the key? You want to be that's the point? It's time?
Where are you? What part of the world? They're out back. I'm in the office.
There's a squirrel running along the fence They see the same one every single day and they bark at it every single day. I have tried a couple different tactics to get that to stop some More Widely accepted than others Hammer what are you doing? Yeah, you out there like painting your face out with the ground the gillies do squirrel the squirrel This is defense first offense type conversation with the brain here. You've done it with the girls world in the world You said to say I get everyone that comes your back.
You're just trying to nut. I Know the problem if I was if I was popping pellets of this squirrel there That's what we thought you met whenever you're saying like more I don't live like you guys on a you know farms. I got somebody who might be popping through the window with fight I'll cut it right back. Yeah, yeah, that one probably has better shot than you do if I So let's make sure that squirrel conners stands I guess we should not be opening fire but on that note if they can score 44 They can win a Super Bowl Josh Allen seemingly can doesn't feel like that and if even if he does like Baker was Nine lead changes you talked about today obviously as well Can you win the Super Bowl if you're the Buffalo Bills?
I guess that's the only question and I hate that that's the question coming out of week 11 But they have like best player in world Josh Allen MVP reigning potentially gonna win it back to back What you'd be crazy to think about but they are in a position where their fans are expecting and hoping and I think Josh only wants Super Bowl like that's what we're here for can I do it? Can I do it after watching a mirror? I think one thing we do have to say is that at home They are a different team than on the road like they are 26 and three at home I believe in the last 29 games and that crowd is awesome. That stadium awesome obviously the weather played the factor there But then you look at that Miami game and whether that was just a let down game But they thought they could walk in and win or what it may be but at home They're incredible.
It doesn't look like they're gonna have that home field advantage in this playoffs Obviously with the way the Patriots are playing who knows how it's all gonna shake out But they're not a team I'd like to face I would not have to try and I would not like to try and have to stop Josh Allen from scoring 44 And I do think that at some point that defense is gonna start tackling better And he's gonna start playing with a little better gap integrity shaman Derman prides himself on the defensive side of the ball and I think they're gonna find a way to get it right But right now run defenses rough. I mean you know come H and ran all over him and then Tucker this last week ran all over as well Hey, Chan taught five running back in a league if you were to watch all right of base ain't that right? Boom maybe talk to Gumpson love how Jonathan Vilma was talking as if nobody knew who the hell he chan was and then we we told him why don't you go Around the office here and just see how many people know how good a player is and I think what company found out It's not a lot of people know that the Miami Dolphins have a great running back in a chain But the Buffalo Bills fans certainly do at this point dumb. Yeah, he ran all over him ran all over the commanders I mean guys one of the best players in the league as far as I'm concerned fast unreal They're like him break a run out the gap and you're like oh, it's gonna be nice little chunk and then it's just gone Nobody even has a shot against it.
Yeah, that's the difference was like sake one We saw last year, you know is like a massive get holes obviously non-contact before contact the yardage was insane But then being able to just take it to the house It's like Jonathan Taylor right now if you give him he's gonna take it to the house that high-end top-end touchdown speed is what separates I think the guys from the top and obviously gonna have to blocking all their shit But a chance for real yeah, he is it's gonna be a really good test for the bills because they have a Texans defense Who's a number one defense in NFL? So if you're gonna have to outscore teams You have to if they can do it against the Texans number one defense in a fell then that's a great sign for them And obviously Davis Mills being back out there instead of CJ Sprout played very well so far and won won some games for him So yeah, there's a nice kind of be a grateful ball game. Yeah, Dougie Mills is an absolute thought down here for you So he's been around for a long time. All right, let's move on to other NFL topics AJ has a question for you, J.
Yeah, J I noticed online you've been tweeting a few times you're about the roughing the pastor situation that's been going on I guess what do you think we're at right now do our reps consistent with this and how are defenders supposed to hit quarterback these days? No, I'm frustrated with it I've been frustrated with it for a while I remain frustrated with it I try and call it out in the games that we have when I see it But then obviously these couple I didn't get to see because of the games we had and I think this game I didn't get to watch the whole game but from my understanding this one was first and then there's another one later Where the guy kind of has the quarterback in the grass and lets him go here it is and I think it's a direct correlation for the previous one because that guy knows I can't drive this guy into the ground if I keep driving my feet and Driving into the ground. I'm gonna get another penalty So I need to just wrap up and assume that they're gonna blow the whistle for forward progress or whatever it may be and anybody who says This is just a bad tackle. He literally took five or six steps and like realize I can't take him to the ground or I'm gonna get a penalty That's my problem is if you don't hit him high you don't hit him low You don't land your body weight on him.
This guy's right hand braces himself to protect How do you want to play that tackle right there is as textbook football tackle as you could possibly make and it just pisses me off because there's so many Things a penalty gives an automatic first down 15 yards B takes a sack off of this guy's record And that's huge for so many different things whether it's global whether it's contracting sentence Whatever it may be could literally change a game and he may or may not get fined if they find him for this that is Insanity it's just I get so frustrated when a guy makes a great plan He's punished yeah, it feels like this conversation has been happening for a while now the counterpoint is we had to make rules to Corbax because there's a year where we had like 90 quarter 60 I forget what they're like 68 it was an absurd number and then obviously go back to the Carson Paulman with the low shot So like the NFL has all these things and situations that have happened that they've tried to corral and make sure it never happens again But like football is football, you know, there's a chance and everybody's gonna get injured I think we all appreciate that hey We're gonna change it to the hit zone or a target in which you can hit people because obviously knee injuries and head injuries or something And take out a lot of stars but when I got to the quarterback remember those conversations like did you throw to the ground or did You place on the ground? Hello fine. We all agree those are out no problem like this driving to the ground one is way too hard for officials to So officiate right it's like it's football like it's football like that guy has to get him to ground Just remember six five like two forty five It's a huge dude like it's very difficult to get that guy to the ground and he also turns into it there I just I think the driving into the ground one is the very difficult one to officiate and often the one that makes people the most Mad and I think if you listen to quarterback, so every quarterback will basically go on the record and be like I hate some of these rules not asking for flags on those. Yeah, cuz they look bad to their teammates like They will take them.
Let's not certainly take it in there's also some that are looking for them when they're not even there. Oh, who's that? Quarterbacks, we know who it is, but 15 yards first down good for the team You know that's the whole thing now I would like to say as a guy who was in a position of potential flopping You know, you could potentially flop and nothing never wanted to be on film flop around backer Just think boys take me serious down. There's a couple times where I got actually flipped in landing on my head And there's no penalty.
I'm like with next time. You're so scared cuz I plant flips like flat in the ground with a knee straight That is that's scary. Well, so the thing about it is I wasn't flexible enough or I've done enough for him So every time I punted I jumped so I was in the air So I was never really I was in a spot where if you got me it was gonna be a head over heel It is gonna be a show here, you know, like since I bangles got made to team and I'm on Netflix our dogs And he is flipping me into my face in slow motion on the last last place is worse Which is where is that where he comes in at your leg after you've planted it or does a blocked punt where he gets your leg hurt More where you can't fall through Brahmin Brahmin came right across my knee and I punted the ball still on the other side, but his knee Body operated as like a knee brace for my leg certainly hyper extended around and probably did long-term damage if I had Yes, that's the worst one Yeah, I would rather somebody just take their helmet right through my face as I was putting as opposed to your knee feeling like it's like Hyper extended because it's scary. You know super scary like it's over forever.
I'm never gonna be able to get the ball Thank you. Yeah, right fuck. Yeah, I'm still doing it You're terrible blocking punts and then he told me no I blocked to already that guy was a psycho So good if a ball dude he was so fast so it's like a path he blocked to against me I think about two against me like every time we played him he would tell me to before the game coming I know I know you I know you absolutely are sets good hair what he had like a hate pack to yeah The guy was unbelievable one of the most like ripped like barbarians looking human beings ever in Complete disregard for the health and safety of his own body at all times on the football and others Yeah, it was it was awesome I think you're going on a Super Bowl with Eagles piece I think you're going to one of the people with the hell of a pregame speech You guys because it was like we're all gonna die today with every one of us. We're gonna die today and you're like You seem serious right and he played like that's it was so good first baby seems he was perfect I mean he was absolutely perfect, but yeah, he got me one come across this way and he also got me one this way So I would say strictly from the bromin blocks I would rather take the one coming this way as opposed to across there But for quarterbacks can't be flopping right no Can't be flopping around unless they're gonna give you first down and then if you're on my team, let's see if love Let's get this first.
Let's extend this drive. Let's keep this thing up They should stand away from you then it rolls and JJ said I'm a part of problem So I do apologize for that. Let's talk about some of the other things happening around the NFL Go ahead D But yeah, we're talking about Josh Allen and kind of his nemesis in the playoffs been patching my homes in Kansas City Chief's going to week 12 now chief sitting at five and five We just had that playoff picture up and you see him lurking right now What's your thoughts on the Kansas City Chiefs going for because I need you on record? Yeah, I like that right now Whatever you say Whatever you say Probably six of their next seven because the tiebreakers aren't in their favor either right now So they need to go on a very big run very quickly I think that last week's game is obviously one of those that you're looking at as a marker of all right These are they find a way to win and then they didn't it's it's not it's crazy I mean you look at them You look at the state of this league right now This has to be one of the most parody seasons that we've had in a long time in terms of the teams that you thought would be at The top aren't we had a graphic on Sunday of all division winners last year and where they stand this year and three of the four We're out of the playoffs and the bills were in the 60 so it's it's crazy where everybody sits this year But in terms of the Chiefs like I don't think it's crazy to say they have to win six of seven right?
Yeah, and I got the Colts this weekend So I don't necessarily love that the Indianapolis Colts are potentially the first team that they have to play in a time where they Have to win this is like playoff game for the Kansas Chiefs and I have always been a very very firm believer in the Kansas Chiefs Patrick Holmes Travis Kelsey Andy Reid Spaggs, Tobe, you name it I just think they are great for reason I respect greatness I really do I have for my entire life I think that is kind of something I've always wanted to know why the great's great in the Chiefs were certainly that and it was It was somewhere I rode with them where they were winning very close games when this sports book thought they were gonna win by a big Money and I lost a lot lost a lot of money riding with this game. See but we had some good time great And great time Super Bowl. You did the entire thing we took over the world can't say cheers Taylor Swift stage exactly over some of us who find down Brazil Maybe that's all the ones that you want to come home to do you want to yeah, yeah a lot of other stuff huh? No, it's been a whole time.
It's been a lot of other stuff. That's why it's like these guys are awesome This is great. This is what it's gonna be. This is the new dynasty and I love that they're trying to cause lights I think they're seemingly relatable and cool I think this is good for ball and then all of a sudden you watch them like the last couple years and it's like And then this year's like I don't know if this is the same and then sports books They'll have a lot of good odds so go win the whole thing and it's like sports books believe that they're gonna come back I think it's because we all believe they're gonna come back and it's like what if this year is a reset year for the Chiefs That'd be crazy to kind of witness change no matter what we see actual defense though.
You got to be giving them credit That Broncos defense is nasty as Joseph all the guys that got I mean it's that defense gets after people do in the pass rush and the Coverage working in sync like it is they are fun to watch and I would have to imagine extremely scary to play against Yeah, I do not love that it's a cult this week. Yeah on that note Fresh off of my shanks like in Danny Don't you know what their record is together undefeated? Yeah, let's move along It's right right it's in the home So or Pittsburgh that game was outdoor that was one of the question We talked about everybody tries to move the goal post on the Colts and one of the goal post was they hadn't done it outside on the grass Oh, they went into Pittsburgh and didn't do it now. They're gonna go outside on the grass I'm saying I'm saying I'm saying I'm saying what people are saying Various words designated turn off IR so they'll have their full fine a moonie word MVP still running back to me.
Oh, yeah The watcher Offences nasty dude So enough with the whole what you were kind of leading to first I'm just trying to give the storylines of the week and that is a potential Okay, yeah, it's a little bit of a taker taker here See people even the internet hates it even at your house is internet no storyline home. I froze defeated against go How good the Colts are I literally said the Colts offense is unstoppable. That's what I said I remember that whenever we're thinking of the headlines of the week. Okay now.
Let's talk about teams Talk about teams leading divisions that we could have never expected Chicago Bears go ahead to I schmidt Yeah, you have Steelers Bears this week Rogers doesn't have you know, it doesn't have that surgery I guess and given his history with the Bears I think a lot of people are assuming he is gonna try to go and then on the flip side the bears I think a lot of people are poking holes that they're scheduling the fact that they've you know Had so many come from behind wins and they really put anyone away But what's what you're taking on that game and how legit of contenders do you think the bears are? I think you can certainly look at the Bears come back wins and you know the final craziness at the end of the games two ways You can look at and you can say all right. They're not that good. They're seven and three with a negative point differential That's not good Is that sustainable or you look at that and you say Ben Johnson is clearly instilled a belief in a confidence in this team that regardless of What happens even in this Minnesota game at the very very end of the game?
We're still gonna find a way we're not gonna be the same old Bears and that's clearly been a message in that locker room And it's clearly something that they have taken a hole now The issue in this game for both teams in my opinion the Steelers and the Bears is that they live and die by the takeaway That is just these both of these defenses if they could take away as they look unbelievable if they don't get takeaways They look terrible so it completely is going to come down to who is able to take the ball away in this game. Yeah, I am Aaron Rodgers coming back with that wrist We can go to hammer dad time. What are your thoughts on who plays quarterback this weekend? Don't my thoughts are that the Bears are basically well Aaron Rodgers like his magic pill Okay, this is exactly who he needs to play right now He is the owner of the Bears.
He's the mayor of the Bears. He's the president and king of the Bears He's basically like the Browns to Ben Ross better so him getting back into this game to go against the Bears I think would be exactly what he needs even though I thought Mason looked pretty good That's what's good to be to have a good backup quarterback Obviously Pittsburgh Steelers still have everything in front of them Ben Johnson and his Bears team insane to think where they are right now Especially without started. I mean, it's just it's a wild story bear Don't at the top of the north the Bears duckings of the north get used to a tie session. Cog of people No for sure.
I do play off start next week now. Yeah, we got a month and a half two months left Right, so we'll check back in but yeah, the Bears are Ben Johnson. He's the real deal. He's the real deal that's green backpackers fan You give me a cue give me the rundown real quick on that packers game I literally did not have a chance to watch it I was excited to see what James did I saw a couple of days But I just run me down through the real quickly game the Giants kind of ran the ball at will James looked pretty good He had about five or six balls that probably could have been intercepted Jordan loves stats weren't great The the wind was a very serious deal But when it mattered Jordan love had this touchdown pass to Christian Watson And then on the most, you know the Giants going down to tie it James finally and the most important moment of the game You know in the red zone he threw a pick that I don't think was really on him But all in all James actually looked pretty good.
You could tell that the Giants played very hard for him Yeah, it wasn't you got a full start on that play. I don't know I didn't see it. What's watching this definitely a fall start on James Such a James play Entertaining before the game we heard his speech in a press conference afterwards and I don't know if you saw he brought back to Harlem Shake to he absolutely crushed it. I mean just Clean yeah, keep going.
Yeah, not enough. I did the feet could have every swept feet could have been done He said no, it's toss another one on top. He obviously quoted Hamilton the dog of shade He's taking a tour I don't know if he's gonna bring pizza out for Brooklyn I'll be very excited to see what James does but that is literally James football It's talking about football growing worldwide. We need James maybe in a Super Bowl at some point that'll help But also they're traveling game seemingly smashing success.
Go ahead Conner Don't you know that I thought you kind of did the Bucks bills game you did it justice and he didn't respond because I think you thought I was being sarcastic I was being genuine just want to clarify that here But the international games yeah wrapped up in Spain kind of awesome this year with Ireland getting their first game ever How do you think about the entire international slate the it is being reported today actually that the Saints possibly might play in Paris next year as early as next year? And also yeah Spain did a fantastic job set it up perfectly I saw McQuade actually mentioned that he thinks that a Super Bowl should be played over there Just because of how special and great it was not sure if there were McQuade stats on the field itself I believe you know in order to do this like like we're talking just pounds and pounds and pounds and pounds and pounds of Pia to actually smooth out the seams we remember a couple years ago You know in I believe it was the Tottenham Hotspur stadium last there was a big seam down the middle I remember David box yard basically a little bit in the morning about hey I can't play on this they brought a lot of fresh paella kind of smooth those seams out and a lot of lads were actually saying Hey, this is the best term ever played on that you're talking about Spain that is Irish mean McQuade a change But go ahead Conner yeah, but change over a how do you feel about it? What do you think about the Saints passing point in Paris next year and what you think about to a suggesting Jerusalem next year? I'm gonna stick with the same game here I thought it was I mean that stadium is unbelievable like everybody's well aware that that stadium what they did there is is incredible They built something spectacular what I will say which is really interesting is I've seen so many people saying This is a reason why the NFL players should be mad They don't have grass if they can do it like this we can do it well that I'm 100% on board with that I'm with the players on everything But this is very similar in a way to what Houston had a while back with the bringing the grass in and putting it together and like you just mentioned The top name with the grass and the seams it's there's a there's a lot of seams in that field because those are all put together So it's an unbelievable system.
I think it's incredible. It does still have I mean that's an engineering feat that I don't just hard to get your brain Yeah, I do think that this thing is headed towards international game every week I think that's what the NFL wants that that's what the commissioner wants I think we're headed towards at some point maybe not week 18 But every week other than week 18 I would imagine they're probably at some point be all right We have 30 seconds to hard out you talk about the grass not being good The NFL was finally grievance NFL PA about the report cards just quick take on that just one one sentence Maybe two or three about the NFL and the NFL PA maybe doing away with the way the report cards are currently being done Which teams complain? Was it the ones with the grades or the ones with bag rates? We don't know exactly just no transparent I think we do and also they trust the players of own the pro both but they don't trust in the vote on how the facilities are There's a lot of interesting things here.
I Strength I think Viking's complaint probably they're number one in literally every category Probably wasn't them who complained and what happens when an owner comes out and says that their quarterbacks no good Is that public disparagement because that sure feels like public I'm just trying to piece this together here because somebody's upset and you would imagine that would be the people that had to throw out some money to do it So maybe don't be cheap build a nice facility treat your players well make them happy be a friend telephone something about that You love them and have a great day be a friend telephone No, be a friend what is it? Nice be a friend tell be a friend tell somebody something nice close I mean you had the first two senses the whole time and then you said my friend might change somebody's life close Something nice might change their life It is on you you have no idea what it is probably the delivery You know that's something to least catch you at this point But wait and alden and I'm gonna let you know you went from take to close off like a seasoned vet no no It's a zero that's wonderful now let's talk a little bit more about the report So I know that's that's like yeah, cuz we've kind of delayed the conversation until they smem it with you because I Enjoy the way you view it you get very upset for the players I think which I respect and appreciate your resume is also a Hall of Fame one So normally the people that are speaking for the players in the NFL PA type situations are not Hall of Fame players normally It's like people that are in a FLP a people and I'm not saying it's a bad thing But all of us just not of all of us. How many years you played JJ? How many years you play AJ 11 How many years you play 12?
How many years you play nine? 52 years of NFL experience get here on this I said NFL PA players and we all thought the same people okay Not normally Hall of Fame people okay not normally like Hall of Fame guys Hall of Fame people Yes Hall of Fame players that is not normally what it is because it does take a lot of other stuff So anytime somebody like you speaks out about things that are NFL PA issues I think it's a big deal. I also appreciate how passionate you are in the pro player side of all of this now Here's what the NFL was saying about the NFL PA report cards according to my source Say at the league obviously you address it the disparaging thing not supposed to publicly disparage each other obviously There's a lot of opportunities for that for both sides. That's a part of the CBA agreement This is part of our business They say that the report card is certainly disparaging to the league and it's coming out very publicly Transparency and who's voting is what they say we heard like five guys on one teams voting 10 guys voting on notes And who are these guys are the actual players and then they say there's been times that direct statements from the pillars of the teams Have contradicted the report cards truly afterwards I think what was stated was something along Kansas a chief something came out about training room or something and then Patch my homes or Travis or somebody Christian somebody came out and said like we have the best trainers in the entire NFL So they I think with the way they are viewing it is we would just like to know who's voting in this entire thing And then I push back and say but it has to be made public right like it has to be made public because that's the only way that change happens And I was told yeah But if the owner knows this information like you think about Jim and think about the earth's a girls right now like if they know this information They'd be like we change it.
I mean if I was charging players for skyline chili for lunch Okay, so like that there's a little bit of a there's a little bit of a different level to start thing So I think they are not necessarily completely out on it But they're just like hey, we need to at least know who's saying what in this entire thing is their kind of angling Why do they not have any issues of pro-bo voting award voting all that because I know the guys going to there and one rookie Fills them out for the whole group or or guys or the PR person fills it out for him But they're fine with that nobody's ever questioned any of those things They're fine with voting that literally affects contracts because if a guy gets voted to the pro bowl They he can have an incentive in his contract where he gets much more money because of it But that's all we don't know how that works the fan voting everything like the coach voting like that who filled those out You and I both know that in the locker room those are not properly filled out yeah Top-100 players or whatever I don't think I think I've owned on that one time at the pro but all the other shit I've never really voted on anything. It's like okay, so who is the ones doing it? I think for all the polls that come out of lock rooms we all kind of question that type of thing and in the disparaging in the disparaging comments section I mean I have a million thoughts on that I had a heart issue when I was playing and I found out that that was gonna be reported nationally Because somebody in the building leaked it so you want to talk about the disparaging players like there's a whole bunch of shit That goes on that's disparaging from that side of things that is a lot worse than we're eating shit food in the cafeteria All right, there's like a whole bunch that goes on so don't tell me that that's a big deal and lastly like I said It's the teams that are getting bad grades that are frustrated Which I understand like yeah, you're you're looking bad and that's the Vikings look unbelievable the dolphins I believe had incredible grades and like yeah players want to go play for those teams who do these two things and treat their people well So if they just they don't want to spend money They don't want to get right and if you're complaining about something it's generally for a reason and we've seen improvements made There's reasons teams make improvements and things get better It's I don't know I get very frustrated when like there's one little thing that the players have finally to voice their opinion on what's going on They're building and now that thing is being suppressed and like no you can't do that See the Jets owner literally called the quarterback shit basically in London like come on And I think you're gonna be the four pass what's that call shit? No, yeah, yeah, I think they were literally back.
I apologize redacted redacted Domp domp domp he didn't literally say he let all of us say it and he might us to basically going in the same He would say I was just pointing out the obvious with my team And it's like well, we're just pointing out the obvious with your building It's kind of what James exactly and I think in the report here at the NFL League meeting in March, New York Jets chairman What do you Johnson who along with our room in the Pittsburgh Steelers Robert craft the new in the Patriots Michael Biddwell the Arizona Cardinals Which obviously massive pieces conversation and David Tapper of Canada's received ownership grades a D or worse called the survey totally Bose and that it violated the CBA now that would certainly be a move I would be doing as well if my shit was told to be bad to my fans who were expecting me to once it win as much as they do and Everything like that and I appreciate you saying it's first time players have really had a voice and the NFL because that's illegal Can't have it we've negotiated every way for you not to have a voice what I am saying is if I'm an NFL owner A billionaire and I didn't know that these things could potentially come out the way that they've come out the last couple years I think there should be some sort of agreement for both sides here like an FLP a because I don't think you could just eliminate these reports at This point I don't think you can eliminate a ranking at this point I think you have to understand that but we still need public pressure We still need public pressure That's only way doing in the lead should want that by the way the lead should What I can say yeah, what I can say about being in that room when I had the chance to do these things was that was the vote There were two votes that were taken seriously team captains and the NFL peer report card That was those were the two times where we handed out cards in the room and everybody stayed in there and thoughtfully went through their answers Because you don't want to screw up your team captains You take a lot of pride in that you know what it means And you also wanted to get things right in terms of the building both good and bad You don't want it like we knew the volume that this held the value that this holds so we don't want to screw that up Like I said pro-bo voting top 100 voting like all the awards definitely those were just tossed But those two Yeah, he's got a lot of these awards, but you're saying if we're gonna look at just this vote as opposed to all the other ones that are very Let's make sure if we're doing any voting. Let's make sure it's transparency. What you're saying we need transparency Yeah, I think that it's I think it's been great I think that it's been really cool to see which team and I mean you talked to guys around the league like what we've seen publicly reported in Terms of the grades lines up with what you've heard from players That's not it's not like it's like oh my gosh that team was that bad like well No, I've heard that for years. That team was that good?
I've heard that for years J. It's free to your point one owner told ESPN the only owners who don't care for the report cards are the ones who get the sub-part grades So owners that have invested in their building and everything like that I think they're okay with the report cards coming out too. Yeah, that's that's shit organization over there You think like between between us you just said whatever 50 four years or whatever between all of us if we went down and we Ranked just from what we've heard from teammates and friends and guys run the league and we ranked where we thought every Rank I would bet we get pretty damn close to what those are court Yeah, because it's been talked about forever is what you're saying basically like all these places that are being showcased to the world for being Ass it's not necessarily the team but the buildings it's been talked about among players for a long time So I think J. J.
The reason why you are potentially so upset is because finally there was maybe something that could change it You know because players have been telling their ownership groups for a long time, but hey, can we get another cold tub? Like what can we can we get out? Yeah, our team meeting is in the same place as where we're eating like can we add a shed? And there is I'll give a little defense to the ownership in that there has become a very high level of expectation from colleges having such Unbelievable facilities to now kids coming in and seeing that way some of these NFL facilities are way worse than my college facility And now seeing what some other teams have done or you've heard like oh wow they have that Why don't we have that there is some like some of these requests are getting a little up there?
But there is a baseline that there should be that a few teams definitely don't reach younger newer ownership to like I'm thinking about the The big three here in Indianapolis. It's like they don't want their players to think like hey our stuff shit Yeah, like I think there is a little bit more with younger owners Maybe as opposed to them cutting corners and saving every dollar I think younger owners might be a little bit more in tune to like what is potentially so maybe this won't be an issue like in 10 15 years as like the old Hey, this is bottom line business people aren't gonna invest in their company owners kind of fade away But I think there is a little bit more because everything social media everything shown so you almost like see a lot more now Of what's happening behind the scenes? So it's like I don't think anybody wants to expose anywhere Yeah, like the truly great owners see this stuff and they're like okay This isn't gonna fly on my watch like after Dan Snyder when he was the owner of the commanders like remember They had all laughs and then Josh Harris basically came in and said like this isn't okay You tell me exactly what you guys need so we can flip this around and then they did You know they had a brand new practice facility or practice field They they revamped the training room like they did all this stuff and they saw that their grades over the course of one season Like they weren't all left anymore You know they went from the worst team in the NFL to like the middle of the pack and like there are I think there are several owners who Actually look at this stuff and like that's not okay. This is not the reputation We want to run the league I think there's something in the solution wise like instead of making them public can't they still all do the report Cards though and then submit them to you know the NFL PA or the owners and then instead of the news being Hey, these are report cards could they not have like a league mandated yearly change where hey This is the report card and this is what we're changing in every building because the report card instead of doing like hey This is the report card it sucks and then later on when all those grades do get better to tie's point Like you don't just you don't hear about the the yearly changes or whatever really you mostly focus on all the negative shit That's just today and how it is but if they do league mandated changes can't that leave one never mandate The billionaires that own the league have spend more money guaranteed every so don't they have a d5 fund But on that no that's to do like repairs and stuff like that the things which could potentially be your building But some of these buildings need full thing.
I don't know if they'll ever agree to guaranteed money spending on the other side Maybe they just released the top 25 teams in order. Yeah release the top 25 teams in order and if your team's not on there Okay, you know the song for it. We build a song for it and put it part you into it. Yeah, maybe they do put out the top What's well the last place down to one?
One this team has no cold Let's keep probably shouldn't have rookies or maybe say hey only third like you got to be in the league two or three years Before you take this bowl because if you're a rookie coming in you don't really know the ins and outs of the training room This is after all that and you might have these elevated expectations coming from a crazy college place That you know they're trying to bring recruits in so they have that was always a known thing I assume you guys need that like I assume when I went to the NFL that facilities will be worse than college I heard that I was wondering if the facilities because of NIL now if college facilities will start to get a little worse House poor brother. You don't want to be yeah They don't have all the money up all the investing money into facilities because guess what we need to money for actually players Yeah, so if we can actually sell about 4,000 square feet of this To get the money it's prime real that's a big part of recruiting That's what we're saying where you're gonna spend it like right now But if you have a shit ton of money definitely have good facilities and also like down there Texas Tech They have so much money so the facilities are gonna be very nice and they're gonna have enough money to pay the shit You know pay all the shit for teams that don't have a shit on money It's like do we would rather money to give to players or we'd rather have money to upgrade our 15 year old Wait, right? Like that's the decision that's coming in that's kind of short-sighted though because yeah You want the top flight players, but we all know like you only are strong is that the middle of the pack The guys are playing special teams like the nose or the guys did not make the big money But if it comes down to these three or four schools like okay These facilities are great the meeting rooms the hot cup Tuck hold up all these all these different shit because even come from you can like they made up the guys that built it They built a great facility and then you go back to I assume what you go to NFL Everybody has tight top flight shit. Yeah, he's gonna step down going from you can to New England at the time I don't know how much it's changed at this place well West Virginia was not we they built our facilities while we were there same I like Steve's like new guys.
We'll ask you guys to build that place and they got to reach another for sure Man With AJ though Ohio State there an NFL factory there So he's got a lot of og's coming back and telling him about what the NFL is like which I think is an advantage to a program That has a lot of NFL guys West Virginia We had pack slim Chris and are coming back and like basically telling us what NFL I didn't have really any info about the NFL Other than just being a fan of the NFL for my entire life because I grew up in Pittsburgh and when it's the World's better now did I fall in love with Pittsburgh? It was certainly loved when they won but I love the NFL players like I just like players I like to leave everything about it, but I didn't know like he ins and outs of it and I think it's because of West Virginia We didn't have a lot of like NFL guys, but to your point I thought I was walking into yeah I'm going to wait I'm like oh man every day I'll be walking in this place. I can't wait first time I look in What's this show? No I did think like I think West Virginia at this point.
It was almost like we're back like my sophomore year at West Virginia I was sitting down with the cage lockers obviously There's no it's like hey, where were the Steelers that on that list because we know the Steelers are there they have to be where they are Split in their facility with pit like I was sitting there in great super hot. Yeah, it's really was another part of the conversation. Yeah Facilities wild this place was a split facility is is wild there Yeah, it's more information because Tomlin can get in our dues Yeah, that's been questions and our duties can do the same They did the volleyball thing remember they had a volleyball down and punch. Yeah, the zoos loves it It's such a better bonds when you work your point about like when you walk in the NFL locker room is really interesting too Because if you think about it who is in your locker room and like the leaders of the locker room and the guys that are giving you the information and teaching How to be a pro that is so vastly different from team to team and it completely changes it because like you said you've never been in the NFL Before this is your first experience and the only thing shaping your entire experience is this group And if you got a shitty group you have a completely different outlook a daily routine and future vision Then a guy who comes into an incredible locker room and is set up for success I walked in there Adam Venetarius on the team Yeah, right what a hilarious situation then Payton's like one of the greatest leaders of all time So I'm just gonna watch these guys I just walked out that I just fell into the fucking greatest 10 years in history the NFL and to watch them But to your point like that's the reason why I was successful Sorry winning a decade in history the NFL We don't need the fucking I just wanted to pay to lock room so I thought that so we couldn't think to say they I walked home Just one Super Bowl year before ready ball.
That's what I did what I did I was going to see more I agree they really fucked that up Ran into a tough tough squad up there to North East I mean Phil Rivers at home too. I mean they fucked it up I'm not to be clear for the purpose at home. It was a reason why I got drafted which shout out. Yeah, so let's not forget sealers in Andy Let's go point.
Let's get out of here Appreciate you man. You're the best keep killing on Sunday's ladies and gentlemen JJ All right, ladies and gentlemen get a chance to catch up with a Jeremiah love And I'll tell you what the running back from Notre Dame is obviously incredibly talented on the field off the field with a chat with us I think he's gonna make you fall in love with him and I know a lot of people are gonna feel this way But maybe even the entire Notre Dame operation. What's the other side? What is it like under coach Freeman?
What is it like being a Notre Dame fighting Irish football players in a full commitment is everywhere? You go everybody knows who you are I submit this time. Yeah pretty much pretty much for commitment Gotta give everything all really school football And then even off the field like you know, I got things I gotta do just business related No, so all my times are taking up, but you know, I'm all in on football You know doing every I gotta do you know in a classroom so I'm Nobody worried about me great wise and then you know make sure I'm getting extra work in and constantly improving so that Coaches can't that seem to trust me to go out there and make plays but you know, I'm all in to everything school football, you know outside life You're a young legend pal and we've enjoyed learning about you and watching you play and it's all working out I would say with how much you're all in on everything Let's talk about obviously just cooked a bit and it seems like the grass wasn't that big of a deal that I thought there Maybe was good. Did you feel anything with the grass being asked is obviously you look like you're flirting around aperture No, I didn't feel the grass actually I didn't I think the grass is actually so pretty it's pretty good I think you know, I feel pretty pretty good now I mean I wouldn't slip.
I did slip one time actually so the grass was it did catch me one time They caught me up and I was gonna be out on this play It was like a mid zone play I was out and I freaking slipped or I got tripped or something. Oh, no It was probably the grass because he said the grass is It's trash. No They say they say the grass is asked but it looked pretty good I will say so the groundskeepers are gonna be pumped to hear what you just had to say especially because they had a double weekend Let's talk about the pit game a little bit in the atmosphere, you know the big story of that game was for pit coach Narduzzi said on the other side we can lose by a hundred in this particular game It doesn't really affect the outcome of our year because we can still win the ACC thought there was a chance That's how it was gonna go the first couple minutes. I thought maybe you guys were gonna win by a hundred But the story for you guys and it's been the story all year basically is another loss and it's over another loss and it's over You have that miraculous amazing fun run last year this year feels like every week people are wondering if it's gonna be over How have you guys addressed that and kind of focused on what matters as opposed to what could potentially happen within outcome every week?
So what coach free does I will say every week as he reminds us, you know The pain of losing those two games early on this season and he kind of uses that reminder to you know help us to Make sure we're doing everything that we can to put another name in the best as possible to guard in half success And as a player what I do mentally I just respect you know every opponent I don't go into any game thinking that anybody's gonna lay down because at the end of the day We as a program feel like you know people got to target on us You know matter you know how we're doing no matter where we're at on rankings or wherever maybe you know people want to be So I go into every game respecting every single opponent and I feel like this team in general Don't do everything with every single game respecting our opponents and we're not gonna play down to anybody's level I'm gonna play to our other name standard and that's what we try to weekend week out I'm just make sure that we're just doing everything we can to put this program that best is possible to succeed That's really all it is just stand on the move and work in every single day You know whenever you know set on the for anything We're just constantly trying to get better every jar full potential every single week Tell me about getting better in tell me about CJ car obviously We're introducing him at the beginning of the year a lot of prime time game spot like games They don't go your guys his way and it's like hey This guy was like the Prince who was promised basically you know his family obviously football royalty What have you seen from the beginning of the season of him starting versus now maybe as he carries himself? He's got like 270 through the sky every single game. It feels like he's kind of figured it out What have you seen from him this year? I mean since since game when I just see a ton of improvement from CJ I would say he's always been a baller like he's always been able to you know make the difficult throws He's never been you know type two coward down or be scared of any defense that we played you know CJ has been just elevating mentally I would say every single game I feel like every two games against the martyr I would use an example so like last game They pit show like little blitz um a blitz package or whatever they were doing and CJ immediately recognized it And went out of his way to motion Malachi down so he can get a better angle and come you know block that safety And that's just something that CJ just recognized you know just from him You know going through whatever he has to go through his quarterback to see whatever's going on defensively And he picked that up and was smart enough to move his guy down in so that he can get a better block on a safe To give us a better opportunity to you know break free for touchdown or break free for templates yards And that's the thing I'm talking about mentally with CJ He's been able to just get better at things like that week after week after week and I've been noticing it I feel like everybody building buildings been noticing it But he doesn't been constantly on the trend of just getting better every single week man And I think he's stopping anytime soon you in the backfield as he's doing that okay young book Love that you know that he makes everybody comfortable that makes everybody confident whenever your quarterbacks doing that shit legit I think that it radiates to everybody right.
Yes, sir. It does Yes You talk about the running backs benefiting from that you guys have a great room over there Go ahead tone yeah, Jeremy obviously if it was just you in the room would be the best running back room in the country But you also have to Darien price and then Ania's Williams also like it's incredible the town in there Obviously you get your touches but like how is it as a room with all of that talent and everyone wanting to get there? They're their touches in a game. I I was started with a very positive environment in the back room Oh It's a very positive environment in the room You know everybody wants to see each other succeed, you know There's not been a moment and anytime where you know anybody's been jealous of anybody There's been any type of animosity or anything like that You know everybody just wants each other to go out there and do their best man I feel like as a running back room that is what helps us You know stay together and what helps us to really go out there and perform better because stay out my seat looking again I'm not doing execute You know just with you know be wanting to see my teammates do better than myself You know I relate something to JD tell him about something I saw and he picks that up quick goes in there It makes a huge play or goes in there towards us now And I feel like that's just how we are the team like everybody wants to see each other succeed whether that's defensively offensively or special teams Why it's like everybody wants everybody to get their shine and when everybody to get the glory And I just want everybody to succeed man.
That's just how the team is I feel like we're really really close in the brother I mean that's a great culture great culture You're also seemingly at this point having very callous culture as well go ahead Absolutely with our you mentioned coach free earlier and you guys had a great run all the way to the title game last season How does the team feel compared? I know every year is a new team But how does the team feel compared to last year going into this home stretch kind of going it's I mean I'm not gonna play off yet But going into the home stretch of the season The team is really good man compared to last season. I would say I feel like the brotherhood is there more I would say You know kudos to last year's team and whatever we were able to accomplish You know we got to get to the national championship We didn't win at all but we got there we took some lessons from that and as far as this team this season man We're ready to go really you know we got to focus on the now, you know finished the season out at regular season But once that's over man, we're putting our foot on the gas and we're going and we feel very confident our ability to go out there And compete with anybody but this team in general man of brotherhood is there, you know, we got the players We've got the culture and got coaches so we're gonna go out there and do we got to do and put our best foot forward and you know compete I'm big fan of yours. I'm a big fan of yours.
I become a bigger fan of yours Now granted how many years you got left of eligibility? I got one more year of eligibility left after this You know any of that type of tamper It seems like you're gonna go down the record books in the Notre Dame halls of fame if you will tie as a question for you Yeah, Jeremiah obviously with so much left in front of you guys this year It's probably hard not to just stay present and be in the moment But have you had the opportunity to think about like the legacy that you'll leave behind at Notre Dame? I went to Catholic school first grade through high school and if you go to Catholic school Like you want to go to Notre Dame and when people become Notre Dame fans like it's a lineage thing They're Notre Dame fans their kids are their grandkids are etc etcetera like have you had the opportunity to think about that because you are I mean you already are legend at Notre Dame, but when you get you know when you leave and you are a legend at Notre Dame Like you you live on forever you'll outlive You're yourself your kids all that kind of stuff like if you do what you have done and continue to do like you will be a legend at Notre Dame You know long after you're gone if you had the opportunity to think about that at all A few people have asked me what type of legacy I want to leave But like I haven't really took the time to sit down and really think about it I'm just to go off the top of my head like you know I want to leave a legacy of greatness. I guess you could say you know I want people to think of me and think of a guy who never gave up You know played through anything and everything played for my team Did things not for myself, but for the guys you know I trained with every single day And just want them to think of a guy that you know try to inspire people through his plate Because at the end of the day That's really what I what I want to do I feel like I gave me an ability to do great things on a football field and you know I'm gonna use that ability to inspire lots of people to just be themselves because it took me a lot to get here man It took a lot of hard work lots of ups and downs So I hope people you know after my career look at my story and my journey and and it inspires them to be themselves and to keep going And to just do whatever they want to do in half on with it, you know, but I really have time to think of my legacy But I'm just What I like people you know I laid it all in line for my team we won a lot I worked my ass off to get here.
I hope I inspire others to do the same I won't let you know brother Science you'll deliver your legacy is already set that Notre Dame We can't wait to see everything else that you do But a part of that inspiration in the road that you took to this place was visited with Jen Lauder early in the season I'm gonna let you know man Maybe the best thing I've seen somebody do in a long time is be that transparent counter has a question Yeah, Jeremiah the general of piece from ganday was incredible and I kind of talked about your upbringing and who you are more So just as a human let alone a football player and one thing she said in there was how your mother kind of mentioned that you told her when you Were you know five years old, you know mom? I don't really feel a motion is there a part of that journey where you developed those types of things is it's something where you're more Emotionally intelligent where you can kind of feel the vibes off of other people versus actually feeling them yourself And also did you use that to your advantage? Like at what point did you view it more so as a gift from God and something that you can use to make you a better human better football player better everything There's definitely been some evolution in my emotions as a kid like I said I did some of my mom I didn't really feel emotions and that was true Like I really didn't like a lot of things in phase me a lot of things in move me I was just the type of kid who I feel like was kind of just there I mean I was just there going throughout whatever I was doing in the day I didn't really feel too much of anything But as I've gotten older, you know as I've you know, just got to experience a lot more things like love and Friendship and things like that like my emotions. I'm definitely showing up a lot more, you know I'm still working on being more emotionally intelligent.
I feel like I've got a great vibe when people I feel like I can tell how people feel About me and I know how to reach situations now But emotionally I feel like I am a lot more there than I was as a kid like I feel a lot of things I feel you know love I feel happiness I feel sadness feel a whole bunch of things But it's got become more emotionally intelligent. I feel like I'm still growing in that aspect But I'm definitely different than I was as a kid and I use that to my advantage in football Or I use it in my advantage in football growing up because whenever I would lose or whenever we lose games I wouldn't care and obviously we want to get back to work like it wouldn't phase me I would use the games as More of a lesson rather than a loss and I should go feel down and even still today like whenever we are to lose games like But yeah, I'm like I don't want to lose but at the same time. I still have that mindset of I don't think that I lost I'm gonna use it as a lesson, you know, even when I lose I win because I learned something And I just feel like I that's just a weapon for me like things are affecting me like I affect me like I affects other people and I just use it to my advantage, you know Well, I hope you get a chance to experience the happiness that your game in your hard work has brought and We are very thankful that we're gonna chance to watch your entire story kind of unfold in front of our eyes And thank you for being so transparent through it all from feeling like you're just existing basically is what you said There is a as a young boy to now thrive and inspire it in motivating an entire country. You're special dude We're lucky you came on the show.
Thank you for taking the time. Thank you. I appreciate you guys I'll get your ass back the class Thank you Jeremiah, hey, he was awesome. He was a gym.
He was a gym. He came sprinting from a class for us report that He was heading back to another class. He is cool dude And the fact that I think he said on game day like growing up didn't play football kind of picked it up later He's only gonna get better stronger tougher and he said we worked on the off season was running people over So not only is he dynamic obviously and mentally it sounds like he's in a better spot because of everything He's been through the maybe everybody else but now he wants to work on the physicality even more and he has some of the toughest runs in Football over the last couple years. It's like this guy's gonna be a monster on Sundays and obviously Notre Dame knows that What a perfect kid to be a Notre Dame isn't it like listen to him speak?
He doesn't he seems so intelligent so smart so like dialed in but yeah his story is cool I remember the game day piece obviously guys talked about a lot he Yeah, I love this kid. It's really hard not to reform it and when you watch his play on the field Like there's so many plays I feel like to where this dude is down either He's on the ground he stopped wherever and all the sudden December touchdown run like that's what I think I'm gonna Think of Jeremiah we talk about home run speed with double There's running backs that we've seen around Lee H&C and say quan Jonathan Taylor We had eyes boots on the ground. I went 98 order with this guy against Indiana Yeah, that was really the where it was super cagey and then all the sudden that happened And it was kind of like that was kind of the play that they kind of catapulted Notre Dame into you know going to the national Championship that kind of started everything and also he was kind of banged up throughout that entire entire Yeah, exactly like it was almost every game like I don't know if he's gonna play and obviously yeah I mean we were right there I think on the goal line, you know almost getting ready to head to Columbus for the next day and then boom This happens and it's like wait a minute now Notre Dame's kind of you know cooking with gas here a little bit different Yeah, Jeremiah watch him run It's a he's a he's different everybody else on the field like he's more explosive seemingly has the ball Singley has a lot more yards and then all of a sudden they just ride him, you know and Riley obviously But they ride him all the way to the national championship then this year first couple games he wasn't getting the rock as much It was kind of like they were splitting it were like what's going on with love we saw him on the side Donnie's he heard is he not hurt no, no, he's in it and then obviously they got a great running back room So they have to manage all that but he is clearly the guy so with Lacey yesterday Oh miss and then out Jeremiah love, you know, we can say we've had the best running back in the country on this show We pissed some people off yesterday telling whenever we're saying Ole Miss is the home of the best running back in the country Yeah, I was thinking about that But it was hard not to do that when he's literally staring right now said Lane is saying that into a microphone Yeah, Jeremiah love is the best running back in the country. But hey, but hey, you're just gonna roll over that quick It's very good for me.
Yeah. Yeah. Yeah, I was awesome. Yeah, I mean, yeah, not at least he wasn't I don't think anyone's gonna be super mad if we say Jeremiah loves best right back in country A lot of people actually are super mad that I said something else Yes, okay, so that is how I learned of that thing and they even know I had Jeremiah love we talked to him Yeah, I agree and actually told him he's best running back in the country There's a lot of those there's like three four guys around the country that are obviously special running back position Gonna become even more important to the NFL game as we saw last year's a C'mon Barkley won a Super Bowl alongside a great offensive line a great run game And now we can kind of tell who's gonna be on the run to the Super Bowl every single week We get a chance to go in the trenches with a q-ship We for the top five performing offensive lines of week 11 now You obviously there's a lot of pressure on the top performing offensive lines because they are gonna carry a team to a Embardi there's a lot of pressure on you to tell us who the right ones are because they're seemingly a little bit earlier in the season We can't a little bit of a bias when they're using phone calls from offensive line coaches and say hey You're doing a good job on it.
I really you look thin and all of a sudden the next ranking is like hey number three shit Team is on here. They're off its lines really good. It's like a cute feels like you got bought a little bit now We're getting the playoff time. We're getting important football time Hey, you know, you know what's that snake?
We are gonna strictly judge who can win a Super Bowl off of your top five list because the only teams that can win the Super Bowl Our teams have top five performing offensive lines So I hope you understand the pressure in the magnitude of the conversation starter that you are part of I watched 30 hours A film every Monday and Tuesday of every single game piece by piece runs first Then I go back and double check it with the past game make sure it looks good. Don't ever stack up Never bought integrity full let's go to the top five out of week 11 number five the Baltimore Ravens You can be more out there. That's right. They had over 190 yards rushing Derek Henry gets over 100 I said this one Patrick her card game came back that they were gonna be going up trending up and look at this play It's a double wham really I've never seen that only win once they send colar and record back And then there goes Derek Henry 59 yards to set up a score Derek Henry is obviously an alien as well He's six three two fifty or something like that He's deep into his career and still has capability to do whatever whenever how come I was watching butter And butter doesn't believe that the Baltimore Ravens offensive line is tough up He actually thinks that the right guard might be on the paint.
Oh no Been quite a topic of conversation Lately with a great block right there on a really good defensive tackle kick out find a butt get up in See butter you need to watch these plays because by the way showcasing some other place where he was now having said that Game says what but it said but I want to investigation He is not happy about this he played off into line too. You can hear it that he played off into line as well He goes you get the second level you gotta cross your face. This guy crosses face He just let them go he's gotta be on the day he's been catching a lot of flak the last couple years He's a big guy we talk about him a lot on here. He's obviously talked about a lot on the internet He doesn't bend real well, but he is 390 pounds.
He gets in the way Geez probably not their best offensive lineman, but he's the best they ever offer and he has a heck of a block on this But let's watch these types of plays maybe just trying to get better But but it said right guard ain't that hard man right guard ain't that hard? What are they really getting this guy or you going up he missed over these are what are they the fact that they're on top five after watching But I think it's surprising that is Let me also say this too because I think we talk about this a lot too right like the offensive line can play really well But the scheme also makes them play better than maybe they're capable of playing and I think against this Cleveland team It was an up the field penetrating defense Munking the offensive coordinator had a great plan this game So they did a lot of pools they were trapping guys letting them get up the field trap They were trapping left they were trapping right there were women right women left And so I think that helped this group this week and obviously recording back up Is this a best offensive line in the run game or best offensive line is a whole let's go to hammer down time He's got a question about the Ravens at five. No, I just had a question because I did see that miles Garrett had four sacks I think they had five overall so I know that I scared that four sets Yeah, so three of those were Lamar Jackson rolling out right play action nothing there and then just eat the sack three of those Those are really good game by miles three of his four sacks were literally you can pull it up roll right nothing there six seconds seven seconds chip boom Okay, well now he comes in and gets the late sex Wow scared to sack merchant. Well, he stole some this game here.
It is right here This is one of my name is a star tote I mean throw the ball away. Well, he's trying to touch This is seven seconds throw the ball. What do we do? He did kind of knock that tackle down right off the wall.
Yeah, there's the one there's the one That was the only one where he had a clean one where it was a highlight real play I mean he threw Rosengarten listen to this offense alignment Listen to this office. I make you guy had four sacks against you guys three of them not not on the online though You know you don't play me You know how many times we sat in a room and watch quarterback and jerk the ball off back there and say throw the fucking ball Throw the ball because you're holding on for dear life for dear life Yeah, every single play all season long we're inferior athletes going against freakasoids if it's meant to be out five step hitch throw get it out We got we can't do this. Yes, there's only a little honest way saying tone even though he even got cosigned from Frankie skates in the back to As soon as tone turned dropped in here and guess didn't miles get her the force and then Nick in the back Because he did well, this was best case scenario for me because it's it gets him to kind of talk She a little bit on the Ravens offensive line and I kind of had an idea of what he would say about my outscare So that was a win win for me. Okay, yeah, I'm happy you got it in there I'm all player grateful player grateful player.
Okay, let's go number four before my offense a lot. Wow 49ers congrats to them all the way back Christian McCaffrey average 6.2 a carry they ran for over 100 as a group And let me hear before we let this run. Okay, so when we run counter week everybody from the day one install AJ knows it D-butts knows everybody's ever played defense knows you kick out the end man and you rap watch what they do They send Trent Williams out they leave the three tech on block cuz he's reading Trent Williams Which widens the hole now you get the easy kick out use checkup underneath 20 yards up the middle everything has a reason and purpose You're saying and it is all it's you block somebody because you're in better. That's exactly right That's don't they still is born in West Virginia Mountaineer falling for the cool aid right there Yeah, well, hey listen sometimes you got to believe what you're seeing especially if you're getting duped like that You're gonna if you live in a paint you're gonna get dunked on but Christian McCaffrey matched with a shame-hand run scheme in this office Line has been a match-making heaven especially if he's healthy with juice as a full back for him He's been fantastic And I think what Christian has done week in and week out from week one till now He's gotten better every single week They are so close to him being back to where he wasn't 23 when he was having a unbelievable year 2320-22 when he comes over and it's like They are so close.
They're getting better. They're getting healthier. Everybody's blocking strain and they are this close to be 150 yards The Rams are next for the San Francisco 49ers and no, so who the San Francisco 49ers play next? Yeah, I don't know if there's any easy games, but you give them sand like a team record wise, okay, so they have Caroline and No, he's what you look at the record of film.
That's a go football I'm talking just strictly record you look at them because they have the fourth or third-play schedule So they're their schedule strength is scheduled based off last year's record. They have a pretty easy schedule I want to say it's one or two the first or second easiest schedule in the league I got Carolina Cleveland, Tennessee, Coles, Chicago, then Seattle obviously You think 150 plus in the least one of those games on a rivalry game right? That's his old team they traded them away I was saying this weekend. He goes for 150 plus back to Panthers at all good.
You don't know what you say Did you watch Packers Panther football team? I did I know they're offensive line Rico. Dale. Yeah, I know he ran for 23 yards This past week the great quarterback Run the ball much and it was a different offense.
That's unbelievable that that's how you just kind of slide that in there now on that note Who's the number three performing offense line on a week 11 the Los Angeles Rams and why I say that is because I absolutely love their scheme I cannot wait to see where this goes because Sean McVey is completely flipped where he was a couple years ago It was 11 personnel literally no tight ends basically on the field and everything was shifts motions wide zone now They go 13 personnel use one of those tight ends as a full-back motion one get two double teams at the point of attack full back come Frontside boom get the kick out Kyron Williams look at Devont the Adams blocking in space I mean this is the first run of the game. Yeah, they started the game this way and Kyron Williams is obviously a weapon for the Los Angeles Rams We're talking about Matthew Stafford a lot you're saying Hey, maybe the offensive line needs a little bit of a chatter as well The other line's been great, but I love what they're doing scheme wise like I said with this 13 personnel because they run about nine different plays off of This exact same look they can run frontside with the duo they go backside with the Bob scheme Which is back on back or ISO they can run the inside zone the outside zone and then all the play actions that come off of this Sean McVey's got a big brain AJ. He can't stop it. You can't I want to ask a cure They're any teams that are very like elite run blockers, but they can't really pass walk 30 teams like that I mean about right now So I think whenever you look at San Francisco, I think that's who they are I think their run game allows them to be good past blockers But if they get behind in games and you ask them now to become a dropback scat protection team They're gonna get their heads run over.
Okay, so he's watching 30 hours of film. Oh, yeah No, it's what's it's true though. I know a key. I know guys I know how you were but I know guys that were you know big time recruits is I school Oh, I'm in and they came in and they couldn't pass block like I know that's a thing too We kind of have to you kind of got learn they were big road graders in high school And then all of a sudden you got a kick slide and stuff he's talking about Kevin Brown.
He is talking about Kevin What? I'm talking big old heavy 375 pound fat so that can't kick slot Yeah, but it sounded like I'm watching a huge film and it's got to be a road grader, but then it can't pass well It sounded like you're talking about yesterday's effort Just no cause you're gonna go Obviously no that I'm big, okay, okay, I'd like to hear that huge fan I love when a lot of my men is finishing five or six years everything will play I'm on board. I love that I just hate the fact that he'd be committed from Penn State Yeah, but he's coming to the stage exactly you guys to some more else. I mean there's no you know Signing no he can't any will sign something as soon as it's allowed to sign something which is cold up Pretty soon.
Oh, yeah, just eight minutes of highlight. This is the first minute Okay, he's working. That was past protection right there if you're wondering yeah, maybe we're back on around here Let me move some big bodies. Let me dump some big bodies in this Pennsylvania football ball.
I love it You know saying no, uh, I'm not gonna say I can take a shot at the state's somebody's D is what's that great football? 170 pounds That's what you're saying Kevin Brown going to West Virginia changing the entire narrative We love it in trenches in age. I don't like what you just did there's seven minutes of him. Hey, hey, hey, I promise you I was not I was definitely not thinking to tell you what I thought he could do anything trust me I don't I don't hold it against him.
He came on the show. Do you really think I thought he was tomato high state? I got you off that screen for sure. I know I'm just a I would love to see your reaction if he did a little rope a dope.
Oh, and you have old W You had any flip to our eyes. They're even North Carolina. I'm sure that would go on well What a play that would have been what a play that would have been that would it cuz I didn't know about the couch at the end They're experienced arsonist. I think that's something that is talked about they were very comfortable spraying that gasoline a amateur fire person gets a gasoline bottle in hand And panics says no, I've seen on a year that where the fire will come up in there in very rarely goes for Tim Brown Kevin Bronze dad former NFL offense alignment former rich rod regays hard-edge football player West Virginia side video We've got a couple of different because I think there's local news there As it's all kind of unfolding kind of chase him around as if they're a paparazzi that Tim Brown just gasoline Yeah, Tim Brown plays no games.
There's been so many different fires that they have started back there obviously the leaves It's going burn these things down. I'm sure you're not supposed to do it I'm sure there's been some tires potentially a disappear maybe some trash makes a dumpster They come from a place with a lot of land it appears and yeah I don't think any of us expected the couch would be on fire door and show yesterday, but hey memorable and that's kind of Brown football Yeah, that's the thing about AJ, you know, like he's a little salty for two reasons yesterday one Of course, Kevin Brown doesn't choose his school in the second, you know, his adult, you know cheerleading team did not win the competition They were so I know he is not happy about what yeah, Hawker had a pretty There's a photo caught of coach Bill Bell I mean Jordan and her adult co-ed cheerleading team that competed against others and right next to Jordan There is a guy that kind of looks like kind of an old Irish mob loss and then on the other side there's AJ AJ I was assuming I don't know the team well we haven't looked it up And this is most talks about women's sports the AJ one I think is the one doing though. Oh, yeah Pressed it actually watched a lot of film not even joking watch all the videos. I could not get enough They want the age no the AJ guy though did in fact the AJ guy freaking crush not even Joe do it my new it Hey, maybe next time you sign up to be part is I might tell him I mean how do I know we had like adult co-ed competition?
So yeah, I got signed up somewhere. It doesn't look like it's like pick up Like I don't know they just have pick up in here If it's anything like the the kid dancing kid gymnast and stuff like that in dancing cheerleader community very intense Was like it's full-blown huge routine a long time dance mom. See my friends Oh, how could you not that that Jim that dance mom's abby Lee? Oh, yeah, seven iron from Nick's house.
Oh shit Oh ladies on that show from plum. Yeah, so in time I was watching Oh, yeah, that was a trip back to that was a trip back to plum every time you watch that show He's like yep there is a pen hills obviously which is where your dongles from so that is that was a trip back in time It one of them actually commented Kelly I think is a man Blash from past I said holy shit I see you back Yeah, yeah, she said I love what you said. I'm from plum for that pit open and on Instagram And she followed me I want to say like a for your donation of time for my entertainment Everybody else is back in the day cuz boy it was cut through to that Oh, yeah, oh my god I'm a trainer Jordan's been able to do with all the recruiting She's probably been doing for UNC but I assumed the amount of work that is put into this this particular adult tournament Much more than other adult tournaments if I had to guess I hope so Bill looks fucking disgusted at whatever routine he's seeing right now So I hope that you know what then maybe that was just like a warm up and not actual you know competition reps But he does not look happy with what he sees she is a champion if we do recall when they run red carpet and they had all their rings on she did Her Bridgewater State Rings, but yeah, I want to build Super Bowl championship rings. Yes, that guy's wearing one right?
Understands he got a polytechno He looks like an NFL bit to like exactly like the guy I'm not gonna say who no That's way too much respect for that is a 10 out of 10 soon. Yeah, I need that and Bill given the guy a Super Bowl ring for the day So hey, this is what it could be you know that and think about the amount of extra pizzazz and sauce on the intro of this particular team CB when the CB team comes out here cheerleading Bella checks when the CB team comes out here I mean the amount of juice on the MC is just there and that's what's all about bringing juice And congrats Jordan when oh, yeah But she did win at Bridgewater State actually fantastic programming Massachusetts plum high school a Cheerleading competition team they go and compete the world must things your fun has supported trips to like I think Disney hosts Oh, yeah, I think they had like hosted the tournaments and stuff like that now is it a sport because judges are deeming who wins So I cheerleading yeah, I think they're athletes. I say sport more of a sport than the other thing trying to be a sport What's that you ball so I think they're athletes very very athletic. I don't know if oh That's good.
I just got it. That's good. That's real good. That's judges team who wins You know, it's like I staining like I don't think they can win like they can't determine the win They can hope that somebody else judges if they win.
That makes sense. So I it's either sport or a Competition I think it's a competition if somebody else is judging if you can win sport if you can outright win don't think it's not That's not a sport then yeah, because you can win okay Yeah, I never thought that way that does make a lot of sense of that breakdown of the two actually and I think I came up with this in my brain I don't know how many times I've said it publicly or if I've ever said probably is during like the Olympics It's like Nathan Chen will go out there and absolutely crush it And then he still has to wait to see if the Russian judge thinks that it was good I can't outright when so you're competing for a score. Yeah, so most she's mobile She could even be great exactly like she's definitely an athlete But I don't think like if you got point for everything that you did as opposed to like somebody deeming what you did I think that's too different Yeah, that is interesting because you get points for trying stuff But if it's not as clean you get deducted points because it's not perfect. Yeah, so I'm not saying they're not this is not a Hey, you're not an athlete some of those cheerleader competition not gymnastics.
Obviously. Oh, this thing I'm not saying an athletic. I just don't I think sports the separator is you can you can I'll just judge it. Yeah, well, there's judges and it's in somebody else's hands.
It is kind of it's different I would get so pissed like I'm staring down a time where my daughter might get into something here that does the judging Besides the amount of what the fuck do you know that you could just oh my god? And what alone if I see a Super Bowl ring on one of the judges? Yeah, I mean what are we or the MC what do you even think in that? Alright, let's get back to it congrats to CB team You watch I'd watched every single clip I could find on X.
Yes is Jordan a flyer I think we should get back to the trenches What's going in the trenches? Who's the number two performing offensive line coming out of week 11? I don't feel season the Jacksonville Jaguars Jackson Bill Jaguars and they were dominant in every facet pass and run they beat the shit out of the charges Let's watch this man scheme right now center guard pull Look at this look at my guy Hainesy right there boom now watching take him right into the end of Barry on the way How good is that? Oh, yeah, 73 right run run run.
Boom Barry on top. That is a hell of a run That's a lot of effort Liam cones got a team down there, huh? They got a squat. They're gonna be very good I'm telling you I mean they're they ponded the Chargers without Brian Thomas Jr They're all on the great all year long they went out and made a conscious effort They went and got a new guard another new guard and a center They revamped basically their whole team in the last two years I mean up front and they have really become very good football all the sudden They certainly have fans okay.
I'm not saying they don't have fans But I appreciate the fact that their fans aren't just attacking everybody for not talking about them all the time Mm-hmm Jaxville Jaguars fans are pretty much like hey, let's just kind of be quiet actually Let's just hope that this continues in here Yeah, but everything they're kind of working for seemingly coming together and Liam cone damn good play designer and play baller unbelievable coach unbelievable Scheme I think the the one thing obviously they lose Travis Hunter and whenever they they're another team that whenever they have to throw the ball 45 times a game. That's not the guy you sure yeah, what's going on over here? I just saw the number one. I like it.
I like it. The number one you guys got to watch a take Why don't we show you guys for you? Please please? I'm going to be a gump.
Congratulations. I thought you said they were okay. Yeah, you did gumps for sure Gumpy's been singing the praise first of all this look at this We're in shotgun We got each and as I'm offset back and look at the big boy in the backfield Brun skill go back again They're getting in on the six o'clock and Trent look at Aaron brew around space on Frankie Lou go Barry his ass into the Grub best center football this team showed up Aaron Brewer best center football Oh lines been trending this way H a change been running like this this team's got it. This team's got it.
Look how fast he is in the second level He's you know me. I'm saying he's best under football Yeah, and there's seven reps of him. What is that? I just what?
I got away with one maybe look at pulls a F bucket Thought to himself is that football player not so I really want to call this this would be a big deal I appreciate him doing that. I like a little second that not gonna do it We're in Spain only get the fuck out here Yeah, you may decide not not happy at all either because the coaches clearly saw something and then we didn't throw what the fuck Dude, I was going to throw you look at 35 You saw the same thing we saw things on 55 I can't believe the Miami dogs. I cannot believe the Miami dolphins are the number one performing offensive line out of week 11 of the NFL season There what is that record right now? Yeah, so in it badly every week brother Okay, okay, okay, I would like to say this I like set this entire I need a new script to set this entire thing up I say we're gonna judge who we think is gonna be able to win a super you did say that you want to know the That was my tire lead up like man You know what in years past when we've done this what we have learned is wow the teams that are on this list Are the teams are gonna be around in the end and now we got the number one team the Miami dog now Hold on I know what the new script is go back to last year the teams that are in it in the end are the teams that are up here most consistently Throughout the year.
Okay, so I need to go eight weeks nine weeks ten weeks of the Colts have been on here the most Where are they this week? Five weeks We up there it should still be up there. It was tough to find I mean there's only 400 yard rosters this week I mean oh lines are I mean we're down this year boys. We are down by Miami's up.
It's up. It's up. Oh Yeah, good group to list Jack to open up la's been up San Fran's been up Baltimore first time up since week one Me too, I'm saying it ever since record came back record is the key fullbacks in the NFL are key teams using fullbacks or tight ends As a fullback or the best running the key card. Yeah, I think Weird way Good thing that this is not where I was gonna start but since we carried it off his water Why don't we keep it?
Dolphins and one of the locker rooms favorite dolphins Jack Jones He actually called his shots a 13 13 ball game here in OT and he's matched up against Zach Earth's at the bottom of screen He's gonna get a chip locking it kind of just running drag across three This ain't a matchup you want to go through Mary Zach Earth's to Jack Jones undercutting doing what he does just his instincts his anticipation and his ball skills kind of separating from the Pack when it comes to cornerbacks he always is when he's around a ball He's most likely coming down with the big time game winning pretty much interception right here from Jack Jones That's first play of overtime right there. Obviously you're in field ball range at that exact moment Not that every kick has been made in this particular game But yeah, this is game winning interception basically on the defensive side and the dolphins winning games now all of a sudden They're chanting Jack Jones's name in there. We had a chance to catch up with him. We'll run a conversation with him tomorrow You're gonna love Jack Jones.
He's got a sick grill But also feels like the culture down there is not maybe dead. Don't be what the hell's going on in Miami? They're on the top five performing offensive lines. They're on good Do you hear to start this thing you got to be on cloud 10?
They love McDaniel and they got some real leaders on the team Bradley job Jordan Brooks leads the league and tackles you had another 20 on Sunday They're just they're sticking together man for what it's worth. I know they're four and seven But they never gave up and they fought in every game they've been a make Daniel might be a leader down there Okay, that's good to you out of Miami. What else do you have? Let's see where we're at now Let's start at the top of the league when you're talking about takeaways leave JJ mentioned it earlier much like the Pittsburgh Steelers They live and die on taking the ball away.
That's what Chicago Bears been doing a high clip this year This is against nine last week seven three ball game right here second quarter covered Right back to begin a real quick foxy cover three start off with a split safety shell and on the outside cover three a lot of times Just turn to pretty much man the man you can tell the difference of the coverage is based on the interior defenders And just watch Kevin buyer who's gonna have that circles a flat defender He gets his with covering the tight end but reading the intentions the court back See right back to window JJ McCarthy never sees him and another kind of common thing with a lot of these interceptions is Defenders around the quarterback a lot of dirty pockets in the National Football League and Sean Wright He could have been on here as well. He had a great pick where he went up at high pointed it great coverage here To I don't know if Justin Jefferson catches that even if buyer isn't there Yeah, but if you watch I believe it's great Jared getting right up in the interior of the office of line Quarterbacks hate, you know you can come off the edge you can run by guys when you get in that interior You're getting their face, but it can't step into these throws That's what you really create some havoc and Kevin by leading the National Football League and interceptions right now with five And to his teammates to write up there in two and three with Edmunds and the shot right right there Who's uncovered bears get a huge one in the NFC North They got a Pittsburgh Steelers this weekend at home here's a himbo stand about that bears a season 22 takeaways Which is most in the NFL plus 16 turnover margins also the highest Steelers this season 77 points off a turnover Plus 54 points off a turnover margin. Okay, so they've been taking the ball away And then making teams to get punished by it Chicago Bears have been turning people over more than anybody else kind of a Immovable object and the hard place it take care of all too Kayla Williams He's not where he needs to be yet in the passing game to take care of the ball He's playing well late and they're running the ball really well as well with that office Really? Yeah made a bunch of additions on the office line swift had a good game and I just all around playing winning football right now I love that There are Kings of the North Going to last week let League explosive plays surprising Pause our past Fox gets crazy that the bears are the ball left so much ball left.
