"Po-E-Tea" Part 1

April is National Poetry Month. Although we're publishing in May, our poetry readings, recitations, and recordings began in April. We bring you the voices of the students in Comm101 at Martin Luther King High School in Philly! Many pieces are original works and some are the words of other poets as "all my best thoughts were stolen by the ancients.” (Ralph Waldo Emerson) "Po-E-Tea" is a play on Edgar Allen Poe, poetry, and ice tea. Dr. Flemming's former 6th grade student, Ronald Payne (2011), was hugely influential in the development of the poetry event title, Po-E-Tea. Listen. Engage. Share.
