Pocomucho Daily — Monday 3 August 2026

from Pocomucho Daily

Monday, August 3rd, 2026. I'm your host Ben DMZ. From Ibiza, this is Pocomucho Daily. Jamie Jones is joining the Feels Like Eclipse Festival lineup, with tropical scenes promised. No further details yet, but the name alone suggests something worth watching. NTS Radio has unveiled 18 new summer residents, and it's a genuinely eclectic bunch. Panda Bear and Sonic Boom, Carmen Villain, DJ SWISHA and Manara are among the headliners of the cohort, alongside French-Mongolian multi-instrumentalist Céline Dessberg, Sydney hardcore punk band SPEED, hyper K-pop crew SYSTEM SEOUL, and Nigerian Mara artist Azzi On The Beat. This comes off the back of NTS celebrating its 15-year anniversary. Jean-Michel Jarre has announced his first-ever book. Titled Machines: A History of Electronic Music, it's out October 8th via Thames and Hudson, and will trace the roots of the sound through photographed examples and written contributions from key figures including Richie Hawtin, Johnny Marr, Gary Numan, Armin van Buuren, and members of New Order. Fred again.. and LATIN MAFIA spent two days in a Mexico City studio recording an entire mixtape on a non-stop livestream. That's the story. Respect the commitment. Berlin club and cultural space arkaoda is shutting down after nearly nine years. The founders say they want to dedicate themselves to new projects and are looking for someone to take over operations. Another chapter closes in Berlin's ever-shifting club landscape. Over in Zurich, Kauz Klub was forced to cancel a planned dayrave in Hirzel at short notice after its permit was revoked. The event had been scheduled for August 1st with around 400 guests expected, and the club has described the situation as causing enormous financial damage. Moldovan trance producer Andrew Rayel is marking a milestone — the 500th episode of his Find Your Harmony mix show. He's been running the show and its accompanying label for years, and the 500th episode is set to be a proper celebration. A useful tool for the record-hunting obsessives among you: Trackmatch now links track IDs directly to Discogs and Bandcamp, making it easier to go from catching a record in a mix to actually owning it. And on a related note, Decoded Magazine has brought back its Mix of the Month DJ Competition — entries close August 20th if you want to throw your hat in. This week's records worth knowing: Aquarian, Frits Wentink, Mano Le Tough and DJ Koze, Remcord, Jonathan Kaspar, Sam Goku, and The Mountain People all have releases in the latest batch of reviewed records from Groove Magazine. Right, what's on tonight in Ibiza. Pacha has Sonny Fodera, Jayda G, Danny Howard and Laeet. Over at Amnesia, it's Kettama presenting the Steel City Closing Party with Skin On Skin, Samba Boys and Angel Lee. Chinois hosts La Troya with Mousse T, Fat Tony, Oscar Colorado and Rampini. And if you want the marathon option, Circoloco at DC10 is loaded — ANOTR, Ben UFO, Bradley Zero, Chloé Caillet, Halfprint, Jamback, Mochakk, Nicolas Lutz, Seth Troxler, Sonja Moonier, Sossa, Tania Vulcano and Wildealer. That's a lineup. That's all folks! Curated by me, narrated by my AI voice. For the human side, check out our weekly dance music selections, Ibiza club playlists and our DJ mixes.
