Pocomucho Daily — Thursday 9 July 2026

from Pocomucho Daily

Thursday, July 9th, 2026. I'm your host Ben D M Z. From Ibiza, this is Pocomucho Daily. Jamie Jones is set to open a new London venue called Ironworks, with Voyager named as the launch event. No further details have been confirmed yet, but London's club landscape just got a little more interesting. In Paris, Jen Cardini has curated a new summer series of electronic music events at the Palais de Tokyo. Called Tokyo Waves, the programme runs across five dates between July 12th and August 29th, taking place on the museum's Garden Level alongside its Normes Corps exhibition season — and each ticket includes entry to the exhibitions. Upcoming sets will come from BASHKKA, upsammy and Beatrice M. A new club is coming to Los Angeles. ORIGIN will open later this year in the Arts District, featuring both indoor and outdoor spaces designed for electronic music. Founded by Roni Mehrabian and Cyril Bitar, the venue has been designed by Marc Dizon — the man behind Brooklyn Mirage, Output, and Hakkasan in New York. Berlin festival Wall2Wall has announced its 2026 lineup. Taking over RSO from August 13th through 17th, the bill includes Monolake, Erol Alkan, Grace Dahl, Jennifer Loveless, Garçon and Agonis, Yanamaste, ÜBERKIKZ, Spekki Webu and more. Local crews HEISSS, Raster Selected, Xtrude and others will take on hosting duties, as is Wall2Wall tradition. In Chicago, Viva Acid and A Party Called Tribe have announced the Dance Mania Legends Block Party — a free community event celebrating the sounds, DJs and cultural legacy of Chicago's Ghetto House movement. It takes place this Sunday, July 12th, at Indigo Mrkto, bringing together pioneering Dance Mania DJs for what should be a proper celebration of the city's own history. Dutch DJ Franky Rizardo has withdrawn from a planned remix of Everything But The Girl's "Missing," following the public dispute between John Summit and Pete Tong over the track's origins. In a statement posted to X yesterday, Rizardo said that after learning more about the background to the release, "it no longer feels right" to be involved. He stressed he was not taking sides or placing blame, and confirmed the remix will remain a set-only track. A new book is on the way from writer Emma Robertson. Titled Breakthrough — 20 Artists on the Album that Changed Everything, it features interviews with electronic musicians including Richie Hawtin, Tricky, William Basinski, Max Richter, Laraaji and Peaches, each discussing the seminal album that shaped their trajectory. Right, what's on tonight in Ibiza. At Universe, it's FISHER headlining alongside DJ Pee Wee, Wild Comet, Jason Bye, Richy Penny. Amnesia has You&Me, with Josh Baker b2b with Jamie Jones, Marsolo, Laidlaw b2b Natalia Roth, Julian Fijma, Sidney Charles and Alexandria b2b Marlie. At Destino, it's Pacha Icons — Marco Carola presents Music On, with Prospa b2b with Cloonee, Dennis Ferrer and Salomé Le Chat. 5 2 8 is running La Discothèque with Annie Mac, Bestley, Crazy P, and Gina Breeze. Chinois has Defected with Ferreck Dawn, Low Steppa, Nick Curly, Sam Divine and Andy Daniell. Playa Soleil Bora Bora has Afrodise and Moots bringing Aaron Sevilla, Claudia León, Emmanuel David and Galgo. And DC10 closes it out with Solid Grooves — Michael Bibi, Tiga, Cameron Jack, Pawsa, Chasewest, Seth Troxler among others. That's it folks! Curated by me, narrated by my AI voice.
