The Consell d'Eivissa has put forward proposals to stop issuing new nightclub licences on the island entirely. No new clubs. Also in Ibiza, Burna Boy brought serious global star power to O Beach for the Luna Loca launch, and Paradise has just announced a back-to-back-to-back for the ages happening this week. No further details yet, but that phrasing alone has people paying attention. Now to some genuinely sad news. Damian Lazarus has lost his studio in Tuscany to a fire caused by a lightning strike. The artist shared a statement saying, "I'm devastated, of course, but I'm reminded that everything is impermanent." A tough blow — but a graceful response. In Berlin, a new report from Clubcommission makes for sobering reading. Thirty-nine percent of Berlin clubs are currently operating at a loss. Berliners still love their clubs, but they have less money, they're spending less time on the dancefloor, and they're drinking less alcohol. The city's club culture remains iconic, but the economics are clearly under real pressure. Agoria has taken his label Sapiens to a rather elevated location — literally. The Lyon-based producer is running chill sessions on the first floor of the Eiffel Tower at sunset, until September 3rd. As venues go, that one's hard to top. Mayan Warrior is bringing its full Art Car to Brooklyn on Saturday, August 15th, for an open-air event at Under The K Bridge, presented alongside Stranger Than. If you've seen the Art Car at Burning Man, you'll know what Brooklyn is in for. And looking further ahead — CircoLoco returns to Brooklyn Storehouse for Halloween weekend, October 30th and 31st. The lineup includes &ME, Mochakk, Rampa, Seth Troxler, Dixon, ANOTR, Beltran, Carlita, Konstant, and more across both nights. That's a serious Halloween. Also on the radar — UNTOLD 2026 is coming to Cluj-Napoca for four days of electronic music and global headliners. And mark your calendars: the 2026 total solar eclipse will be visible from Ibiza, and Beachouse is throwing a full party around it with Guy Gerber providing the atmospheric soundtrack as the island goes dark.
