Beatport has banned AI-generated music from its platform. The marketplace updated its content guidelines on August 12th to prohibit tracks made entirely or mostly using AI. Tracks created with AI assistance that remain substantially human-made are, for now, still permitted. A line drawn — though where exactly that line sits will no doubt keep people talking.
