The Ozora Festival has been brought to an early close following two deaths on site — one person suffered a cardiac arrest, another died after a fall from stage decoration. The organizers ended the festival as a result. Our thoughts go to the families involved. A significant legal moment for the AI music space. On July 31st, the 42nd Civil Chamber of the Munich Regional Court ruled that AI music generator Suno infringes copyright. The case was brought by GEMA, the German music rights organisation, and the court found in their favour under presiding judge Elke Schwager. A ruling that will be watched closely across the industry. Two club closures in Germany to report. First, arkaoda — the Berlin club and cultural space — is shutting its doors at the end of August after almost nine years of operation. The founders say they're moving on to new projects and are looking for someone to take over the space. And in Munich, the Blitz Club held its closing weekend last week, bringing the curtain down on another cult venue. The farewell began on Friday — Munich's clubbing community came out to see it off properly. Ferragosto weekend is nearly here and Italy's leading clubs have announced their music programmes for the long weekend. From Lignano Sabbiadoro to the Gallura coastline, via Jesolo, Tuscany and the Romagna Riviera — the country's club circuit is gearing up for one of the biggest party weekends of the Italian summer. New York DJ, producer and label owner Derek Marin has passed away. A source from his circle confirmed to Resident Advisor that Marin died on July 31st. No cause of death was given. Marin had releases on Get Physical and Nervous, and had ties to the Berlin scene. Rest in peace. And finally in the news — MySpace is coming back. The Vanderhook brothers, Chris and Tim, have officially confirmed plans to relaunch the iconic platform. They told Mashable they're waiting for the right time to pull the trigger.
