The Turkish producer's 'Sounds Like Pillowtalk' series opened on July 1st with a surprise Francis Mercier back-to-back, setting the tone for what promises to be an intimate, dancefloor-first run — eight more dates stretching through to August 26th. Jeff Mills is the subject of the summer cover story in C.013, and the framing is a good one. It opens with a screening of Live at the Liquid Room — Mills's 1995 Tokyo set, projected at New York's Knockdown Center — showing a 32-year-old Mills moving at frightening speed, ducking under the booth, snapping back into the mix, pushing machines and vinyl into something that sounded extraterrestrial. Now 63, Mills is being asked to weigh in on a question the music never quite stops asking itself: what is techno, is it a sound, a style, a way of life — and is it even in good health? His answer is in the magazine. FISHER is back in Ibiza for another residency at Ushuaia — sorry, at UNIVERS — and DJ Mag caught up with the Grammy-nominated Australian to talk about his history with the island, family life, and what another summer here means to him. From Gold Coast surfer to one of the most in-demand names in house music, his arc remains one of the more unlikely ones in the game. Dimmish has a free download called "Yoshi" dropping via FabricLondon Records on May 29th, 2026, and it's followed up by the first DENSER show at Tantra. The record fits neatly into a run of releases that have moved quickly across clubs and DJ libraries — he's building a consistent path, and this next stretch adds another clear marker to it. Nick Niclassen has been talking about remix culture, deadlines, and finding his own artistic identity. His remix of Fejká's "Azur" — released alongside versions from Max Cooper and Chris Luno — is drawing attention, and by his own account it landed well because it came from an authentic place. Bastian Bux is bringing Petit Comité — his house music platform — to New York City at H0L0 Yard in Ridgewood, and it is the first time the Barcelona-born party series has come to the city. Waterworks has revealed set times for its 2026 edition at The Cause in London — a 36-hour non-stop run. Extended hours, extended sets, extra production. Highlights include Bradley Zero & Erol Alkan, Christian AB & Craig Richards, Eris Drew, Midland, Leon Vynehall, Raresh & Sonja Moonear, OK Williams & Skee Mask, Daniel Avery, Djrum, Tim Reaper and Shy One. The Heroines of Sound festival is heading into its 13th edition, with the Asian diaspora placed at the center of the programming. The festival's curator has been speaking about the event, and was direct on one point: when it comes to real gender equity in music, she says, we're still a long way off. Francis Mercier, Andrea Oliva, and Bob Sinclar are headlining King's Club in Jesolo, near Venice, across three consecutive Saturdays this July. Mercier opens on July 11th, Oliva follows on the 18th, and Sinclar rounds it out from there. A strong Italian summer run for all three. Adam Beyer is heading to Mia Mao in Paris on Saturday July 25th for a night called Activate. The Swedish techno heavyweight bringing his sound to the French capital — should be a good one. Paradise at Tiboo has Jamie Jones back-to-back with Marco Carola — that's a pairing that doesn't happen often — alongside Nic Fanciulli, Luuk van Dijk, Olive F, Italobros, and Mason Maynard. Ushuaia has Tomorrowland presenting Dimitri Vegas and Like Mike, with Oliver Heldens and Vini Vici. At Pacha, BLOND:ISH brings Abracadabra with Disclosure on DJ set — that one will be packed. 528 has Brunch Electronik linking with The Gardens of Babylon, featuring Monolink in hybrid mode and Satori live. Amnesia is hosting a free rave courtesy of Marlon Hoffstadt, with Cloudy, Saidah, Hannah Laing, and Southstar on the bill.
