Days 21 through 23 elevate our journey to East Glacier, Montana, following a 211-mile drive from the plains of Havre. While the original Corps of Discovery crossed the Continental Divide further south, this spectacular stop perfectly represents the formidable alpine geography and "immense ranges" of the Rocky Mountains that Meriwether Lewis first sighted—a daunting, snowy barrier the explorers realized they had to cross to reach the Pacific.During this three-day basecamp, travelers will have the opportunity to immerse themselves in the towering peaks, pristine lakes, and alpine meadows of Glacier National Park.
