Peter calls on Christians to accept the crucifixion and resurrection as fulfillment of the "living and enduring work of God" and it should be lived out be becoming examples of agape love Christ expressed through the cross. Peter says sanctification requires faith, hope, love and acceptance of the Word of God. Are all four necessary? Can any truly exist without the other? Can we love people we don't like?
