"Hurry up and wait" is a common saying within the Grand Ronde Natural Resource Department's Fire Program. Silviculture and Fire Protection Manager Colby Drake talks with Smoke Signals on the first episode of a three-part series following the Fire Program throughout the upcoming fire season. In this podcast/video series we'll answer who can be a fire technician for the Fire Program, the next episode will answer how the fire technicians set and control fires and we will conclude the series with what it's like out in the field managing fires firsthand.
