This month’s program concludes the undated June, 1988 session, then continues with some music from the session of October 12, 1988. On the first tune, the personnel is the same as last month. On the October tunes, there’s no piano, but we have Steve Pratt on bass and Terry Keef on alto sax, in addition to the usual cohort of Jimmy Mazzy (banjo/vocals), Fred Lind (cornet), Paul Meymaris (clarinet), and John Kafalas (trombone/euphonium). Also featured is a vocal by Carrie Mazzy. The selections are “I Used To Love You,” “You’ve Changed,” “Summertime,” and “Just For You, Dear.” “You’ve Changed” was Fred Lind’s favorite song, and you’ll hear some excellent cornet work from him on this Billie Holiday specialty.
