That's according to the Director and Chief Economist of Econometrix - Dr Azar Jammine. Yesterday, Statistics South Africa handed over South Africa's Census 2022 national results to President Cyril Ramaphosa. The 2022 Census is the fourth population and housing count in post-apartheid South Africa, with the first being conducted in 1996. The population and housing census was conducted in February 2022. It is expected to provide comprehensive data on population size, demographic trends, and other service delivery-related information.
