#PODCAST Chatsworth Dr. Seshni Reddy starts a campaign to help a friend get to safety, as he fights for survival in Gaza #sabcnews

from Newsbreak · host SABC News and Current Affairs

By Newsbreak Producer Matthew Veeran - Following on from a story we brought you yesterday, Chatsworth-based medical graduate Dr Seshni Reddy is on a mission to help a Palestinian colleague and his family break free of the terror inflicted on them since attacks broke out in Gaza. Dr Reddy met Dr Mahmoud Abujundi while studying in China in 2019. After he secured a job in his native Palestine, the conflict scuppered any hopes of him beginning a successful medical career. Report suggest he is now in a refugee camp, staying in makeshift tents with his family, trying desperately to stay alive. Seshni says she has since started an online Back-a-Buddy account* to assist with trying to get her friend to safety...  * To contribute to her cause, you can visit the website www.backabuddy.co.za and type in Gaza - that will help direct you to Seshni's page.
