A few spotting's in the past weeks have been an encouraging sign after a significant decline in sightings over the past decade. CEO of Cape Town's Shark Spotters program, Sarah Waries says while it is extremely difficult to track and monitor the specie and their population, great whites have been moving away from the province an into an eastern direction. Waries explains that the presence of Orca whales, which eat species like the great white shark, are one of the attributing factors to the movement...
