Podcast: Domestic abuser jailed after threatening to kill his partner and burn her family’s house down

from KentOnline · host Kate Faulkner, KentOnline

A domestic abuser who threatened to kill the mother of three of his children and burn her family’s house down has been jailed. But the father of Martin Creed’s victim says “justice has not been served”, after he admitted abusing his partner of eight years in a caravan on Sheppey.  Also in today’s podcast, a man has appeared in court after being accused of murdering his mother at their home near Dover.  The 64-year-old victim was attacked at a home in Khartoum Square on Sunday.  A mum who moved to a garden city for a “blissful green escape” says it’s become a “living hell” thanks to ongoing construction. Within weeks of moving in to the property at Ebbsfleet Garden City last August with her son she’d realised she’d moved into a working building site.  A team of veterans have arrived in Kent as they attempt to sail around the UK. They're using two wooden tall ships which are traditionally rigged and will be docked at Ramsgate for the next few days. And in cricket, Adam Hollioake insists he’s a better coach for his first season in charge of Kent.  He’s been speaking as they look to get their new County Championship campaign underway against Durham this Easter long weekend.  Hosted by Simplecast, an AdsWizz company.
