#PODCAST Durban High Court rejects brothers, Dylan and Ned Govender appeal application

By Newsbreak Producer, Taresh Harreeparshad - The Durban High Court has dismissed the application by brothers Dylan and Ned Govender to appeal their seven year direct imprisonment for the attempted murder, assault common and assault with intent to do grievous bodily harm. Judge Gregory Kruger handed down the sentence a short while ago. This relates to the attack that took place amid violence in Phoenix during the 2021 unrest. The brothers were acquitted on a charge of murder, of Mondli Majola. But after handing down the seven year jail term, Judge Kruger found that any other court would come to the same conclusion.
