#PODCAST Durban woman receives jail term for R2m business fraud

By Newsbreak Producer, Taliesha Naidoo - A Durban woman has been sentenced for fraud and corruption at the Durban Specialised Commercial Crime Court. Ramonia Naidu was sentenced to eight years imprisonment, of which 3 years is suspended for 5 years on condition that she is not convicted of theft or fraud during the period of suspension. The 46-yea-old defrauded the company she worked at in Amanzimtoti for more than R2 million during the period between May 2017 and November 2018.
