Maimane visited the area yesterday, where he challenged Minister of Police Bheki Cele to meet him at the Phoenix police station to address the escalating levels of crime. Phoenix has fast risen to become a crime hotspot as the latest crime statistics revealed the community is the fifth highest crime location in the country. It recorded an 18-point-two percent (18.2%) increase in serious crimes over the past year. Newsbreak's Taliesha Naidoo spoke to Maimane about the intentions behind his visit....
