This after energy regulator, NERSA approved the electricity tariff increases for the period 1st April 2024 to 31st March 2025. NERSA approved the electricity tariff hike for the 2024/25 financial year in January 2023. The power utility says electricity tariff increases for local municipalities will come into effect from the 1st of July this year. However, this has not gone down well with many in society.
