Podcast - Episode 114 - Jim Wheat - Strategic Brand Development Specialist & Contemporary Creative

from The Leadership Lounge Podcast · host Stuart Waddington

On today's episode of #Leadership - What's on your mind? I speak to Jim Wheat.    Wheat was educated in Chester & Wrexham, where he studied Civil Engineering before pursuing a Master’s Degree in California. Moving to Dubai in 2002, Wheat was influenced by the rich culture and heritage of the Emirates combined with the energy of money in the contemporary atmosphere funding the growth of Dubai in the early 2000s. He boldly  explored both sides of the coin within the commercial world of Brand, Sponsorship and Art from Construction workers labour camps to the Golf and leisure facilities in the Middle East after a particularly testing time in 2009. Now thriving on collaborating with and helping develop a rich variety of authentic brands, charitable causes andcommunities Wheat’s creation and development of his unique model of Engage : Create : Facilitate in a systematic yet free-flowing approach that he has lived and breathed for over a decade. His shift of focus came following an unexpected lightbulb moment during his community engagement programme at H.M.P Berwyn, Wrexham where he realised the value of self-worth applies to others aswell as himself. This epiphany from ‘ME’ to ‘WE’ has enabled him to harness his  talents and share with others the skills he has learned throughout his career.  Wheat now primarily focuses on developing not only his own legacy through his body of work but with brand partnersthrough creative workshops with groups, sports associations, corporate enterprises and communities helping  Stakeholders form, clarify and ultimately achieve their commercial goals. This is then often interpreted in a unique contemporary way whilst ensuring a duty of care within wider reaching inclusive communities. With this solid  platform in place more meaningful, measured and relevant Marketing campaigns with high impact content creation and engagement programs following on. The Metaverse arrived at the perfect time – it’s time to humanize that magical space as old Artworks are now brought to life as physical serves digital and vice-versa.
