from The Leadership Lounge Podcast · host Stuart Waddington

On this week's episode of #Leadership - What's on your mind? I speak to Mark Howard.   Left school aged 16 joining Blackpool Football Club as an apprentice football player.   21 year career in Elite professional football between 2000 - 2022 working firstly as Fitness coach followed by roles as Head of Sports Science at a number of clubs.   Always looking to develop and learn - Most recently graduated from Salford uni with distinction MSC Sporting director.    Learn2perform journey - Started 2011while at Blackburn Rovers, supporting staff development requirements. unique conference and workshops looking at bridging the theory-reality gap. Conferences held at Wembley and Premier league stadiums with most recent speaker Wim Hof.   At the present time my social media presence is limited to Linkedin with development plans to update my own and also introduce L2P separately in addition to a website revamp (so for time being I dont want to share the website address). L2P offers various supporting mechanisms around High Performance including consultancy, education and mentorship from 1:1 to larger group scenarios.   Me!   I am passionate about others and believe we can strategically put in place the conditions for success, whether that be individual development success or team goal achievement. I whole heartedly believe that whilst defined objectives may not be guaranteed, they are far more likely when people are healthy, happy, engaged and motivated to deliver their roles in a positive and thriving environment!!   Memorable achievements   • Attracting and developing some amazing staff that have gone on to have successful careers in football.    • Qualifying for European competition with both Bolton Wanderers and Burnley FC    • Bringing Wim Hof to the Premier League for a day with the players and Learn2perform event!   Make sure to hit SUBSCRIBE if you enjoyed and thanks for watching!
