This as we observe TB awareness month. TB is a contagious infection that usually attacks the lungs and is caused by bacteria. TB which is curable and preventable, is spread from person to person through the air. According to the World TB report of 2022, South Africa is among the 30 countries identified as those responsible for 87% of the total global TB burden in 2021. CEO of Non-Profit Organisation, TB HIV Care, Professor Harry Hausler says South Africa is one of 10 countries with a triple burden of TB, TB/HIV and multi-drug resistant TB, and is urging people to educate themselves about the disease...
