Founded in 2017, The Model Talks (TMT) is a weekly online talk show—hosted by Sharlene Radlein and directed by Bryant Littrean—that features conversations between models of all varieties. The interviews, or “conversations” as Sharlene would call it, are filmed and published on Youtube. After being released in video, they’re later transcribed and published on themodeltalks.com for reading. The audio for each conversation is also uploaded to The Model Talks podcasts on Soundcloud. The modeling industry is saturated with inspiring stories of people on an unconventional journey to become successful. Unlike your traditional nine-to-five, modeling is an occupation often filled with uncertainty of almost all aspects of modern living. Despite the superficial perception society holds of models, at the end of the day, they’re people just like everyone else. However, unlike most jobs models are often deprived of a platform to voice their experiences; after all, they make a living on how they look and not on how they speak. At its core, The Model Talks is essentially a platform for people—that happen to be models—to voice their life experiences.
