#PODCAST Joslin Smith case postponed for further investigations

By Newsbreak Producer, Taliesha Naidoo - The case against four people accused in connection with the disappearance of six-year-old Joslin Smith, from Saldanha Bay, has been postponed to the 15th of July for further investigation in the Vredenburg Magistrate’s Court, on the West Coast. The little girl went missing from her house in the Middelpos informal settlement in Saldhana, nearly three months ago. She's not been found, despite an extensive search by authorities. The four accused include the girl's mother, Kelly Smith, and her boyfriend, Jacquen Appollis. They face charges of trafficking in persons with the purpose of exploitation and kidnapping. The court heard that forensic reports and cellphone records of the accused were already received but the data still needs to be analysed. A determination regarding where the matter will be heard, is expected to be made at a later stage.
