Last week Friday marked World Rhino Day and statistics indicate that the first 6 months of 2023 showed a slight decline in poaching numbers, 28 less than the same period of 2022. 8936 rhino were killed in South Africa alone between 2006 and 2020 while the KNP rhino population has dropped by 60% since 2013.
