Le groupe Bruxellois « Les Naufragés du Silence jouent une « pop new wave progressive chantée en français » dont les influences se situent quelque-part entre The Cure et Charles Trenet.Le line-up est l’original de 1988 BIOGRAPHIE : Apparus en 1984, ils sortent un premier quarante-cinq tours.« L’astronaute maudit » et se font vite remarquer par les radios locales.C’est dans ce contexte « audacieux »,où faire rimer « new-wave » et « chanson française » est loin de remporter tous les suffrages à l’époque...L’année 1988 leur donne l’occasion de jouer en première partie de « Marc Seberg », "Legendary Pink Dots « et « Bel Canto » à Bruxelles. Ils se lancent ensuite dans l’enregistrement d’un deuxième quarante-cinq tours « La ronde des fous » et poursuivent la tournée en Belgique. Ce second quarante-cinq tours recueille d’excellentes critiques et « La ronde des fous » navigue dans la playlist de plusieurs radios dont Radio 21.Le groupe attaque les sessions de son premier album.L’enregistrement prend fin mais des tensions naissent avec le manager de l’époque, à propos des firmes de disque susceptibles de signer le groupe en France.Pour des questions de droits...L’album enregistré ne verra le jour qu’en 1993 mais pas dans sa forme originale.Les « Naufragés du Silence » assurent encore les concerts en première partie de « Sad lovers & Giants « et se font remarquer lors de la première édition du « Dour festival » (en compagnie des « Gangsters d’amour » et de Bernard Lavilliers).Malgé cela , le groupe prend fin avec les années 80.Ils reviennent en 2018 Jean Vanneste : chant (Scopitone) Benoit Deschuyteneer : basse (Plasticine, Grand Ben) Michael Hasson : guitare (Ghinzu) Peter Soldan : claviers (Dada studio) Joel Bacart : batterie (Betty Goes Green).
