By Newsbreak Producer Tashlan Naidoo - Trade Union Federation Cosatu has called for an effective strategy from government that will help deal with the fuel price increases. This comes as motorists can expect hikes of over one rand for all grades of fuel with Diesel expected to see an increase of between R1,93 to R1,96 a litre. Cosatu is concerned that this latest increase will push up inflation, further squeezing workers. Since beginning of the year, the price of 95 unleaded petrol has cumulatively gone up R4,28 inland and R4,21 at the coast. Diesel has increased by almost R3,80 inland and more than R3,30 at the coast. Meanwhile, South African motorists say they are struggling to provide for their families and make ends meet given the regular fuel price increases. These motorists are calling for government to intervene as the cost of living becomes unbearable...
