By Newsbreak Prodcuer Hoosen Ebrahim - The National Professional Teachers Organisation of South Africa (NAPTOSA) has expressed concern around the safety and security affecting the integrity of the 2023 matric examination. They say that although education quality assurance council - UMALUSI is ready for the commencement of the examination at the end of this month, there should be more stricter measures in place to ensure schooling staff don't interfere with the integrity process of the exam by cheating. More than 720,000 candidates have been registered to sit down for the grade 12 exams which are set to start on the 30th of this month until the beginning of December.
