By Newsbreak Producer Shanell Daniel - Year-on-year, business confidence in Durban decreased by 5.92 index points in the fourth quarter of 2023, compared to an improvement of 9.21 index points recorded in the previous quarter. That's according to The Durban Business Confidence Index (BCI) Fourth Quarter 2023 Report which was compiled by the Macroeconomics Research Unit at the University of KwaZulu-Natal's School of Accounting, Economics and Finance. The BCI report measures the present mood or sentiment of businesspeople in conducting their day-to-day business in the greater eThekwini Municipality.
