Netters caught huge nets of sardines at various spots, but this actually worked against them in the end, bringing the price of the silvery delicacy down to as low as ten-rand a dozen at one stage. Meanwhile, from Friday heading into this past weekend, the trail went cold - with no sign of sardines or the predators that follow them. Durban angling expert Adam Kamdar says the slow sardine weekend can be attributed to warmer water conditions...
