By Newsbreak Producer Matthew Veeran - According to a new report, some energy experts are proposing that Eskom power stations be shut down to allow them to be fixed immediately. They say this should be done even if it means the country could be plunged into darkness as a result of higher levels of rolling blackouts. Truth in Energy Civil Nuclear Engineer, Hügo Kruger reacted to the report, saying that while some of its proposals could work - others as he puts it, are "downright ridiculous". Kruger says there are various ways in which Eskom can fix load-shedding, but they may have to look to the past to address what's happening in the present...
