By Newsbreak Producer Tashlan Naidoo - Human rights organisation, Operation Bobbi Bear says South African laws are too lenient on those found guilty in relation to child pornography and child online sexual predators. This was in reaction to three men being arrested in different parts of the Western Cape on several charges of child pornography. Police say a man who posed as a teenager to lure underage girls to a chat group where child pornography was distributed and shared, is among the three people being investigated. The arrests follow a joint operation by the SAPS and the USA Department of Homeland Security. The arrest of these three men brings to seven the total number of people arrested on such charges since November 2023. Founder of the Durban based Bobbi Bear, Jackie Branfield says most victims suffer lifelong trauma after such crimes are committed against them...
