By Newsbreak Producer, Tashlan Naidoo - GBV organisation - People Opposing Women Abuse (POWA) is calling on the President to announce better funding for the sector while strengthening the justice system to hold offenders accountable.  this as the South African Police Service (SAPS) recorded 6945 murders in the 2nd quarter of 2023/24, 881 were women and 293 were children while 10 516 rape cases were reported. Acting Executive Director at POWA, Naledi Kuali says she hopes the President highlights the role and responsibility of men in the fight against GBV and femicide plaguing the country.
