The concept is the brainchild of journalist and author, Fakir Hassen to recognise the role of individuals past and present who have made an impact in the Lenasia community south of Johannesburg. Members of the public are invited to submit nominations not exceeding 300 words before the 31st August this year. Hassen says the nominations are not restricted to people from Lenasia, but includes individuals from outside the area who has made a lasting impact on the lives of that community...
