#PODCAST REACTION: New Statistics SA report shows alarming findings related to child rape and murders #sabcnews

By Newsbreak Producer Taliesha Naidoo - Rape cases for children increased by six-point-three percent between 2015/16 and 2019/20. That's according to a Statistics South Africa report titled Crime Against Children. Last year 293 children were killed in the country between July to September. These grisly statistics comes nowhere near the trauma children in South Africa live through on a daily basis. Next week marks Child Protection Week- a campaign aimed at raising awareness about child rights.
