#PODCAST Service delivery protest erupts in Phoenix as scores of residents take to the streets

By Newsbreak Producer, Tashlan Naidoo - Scores of residents from the Lenham and Westham areas at Phoenix north of Durban took to the streets this morning demanding service delivery after allegedly going without electricity and water for over a week. Protestors blockaded roads with burning tyres and trees, causing major traffic backlogs in the area. This follows several protests over the last few months as some communities claim to have gone without water for up to three months.
