Haemophilia is usually an inherited bleeding disorder in which the blood does not clot properly. This can lead to spontaneous bleeding as well as bleeding following injuries or surgery. Spokesperson at the South African Haemophilia Foundation Alex Stuart educates us on the symptoms, causes and treatment one can consider. Stuart says they have introduced injections to help manage the disease. This as World Haemophilia day is celebrated on the 17th of this month...
