By Newsbreak Producer Matthew Veeran - With the month of April marking Autism Awareness Month, the Colours of Bliss non-profit organisation have been hard at work raising public awareness around the developmental condition that effects close to a million South Africans. As the group puts it, autism is isolating many ways, not only for autistic individuals but also for their families - who are often unable to express how much support, acceptance and inclusion mean to them. The organisation is currently wrapping up planning ahead of its annual Colours of Bliss Mini Sports Gala. Public relations officer Nilesthra Padayachee says the event is a fun filled gathering for all ages, with the aim of better education and informing people about autism...  *The Mini Sports Gala 2024 takes place at the Dubri Road Grounds in Merebank on Saturday the 6th of April.
