By Newsbreak Producer Taliesha Naidoo - The Nelson Mandela Community Youth Centre in Chatsworth, south of Durban will be hosting a talk and visual presentation on the 1860 Indian Indentured labourers. The event, which will take place on Thursday*, will reflect on the struggles that Indian indentured labourers faced upon their arrival to South Africa. University of KwaZulu-Natal researcher and senior professor, Brij Maharaj, along with the university's head of performing arts - Professor Siphawukele Ngubane - will be the guest speakers at the event. Clive Pillay, Programmes Co-ordinator at the Nelson Mandela Community Youth Centre says the event is free and meals will be provided to attendees... *The event takes place on Thursday 14 December between 10am and 12pm.
