Just as no one can block a flood’s surge, tame a raging fire, stand against a mighty wind, or dim the sun’s vast light, no one can oppose this hero who rises to claim Tamil Nadu as his own.He refuses to accept that Tamil Nadu belongs equally to all kings; instead, he believes it is his sole right and fights for it bravely. Those rulers who submit to him and offer tribute can reign without fear under his protection. But those who lose his support will be doomed — just as insects that leave their nest are swiftly destroyed, so too will their lives end in ruin.THE INVINCIBLE MIGHTY KINGNo swelling flood can human hands withstand; No shielded dome can halt consuming fire. No strength can brave the storm across the land.The sun’s great blaze defies both wall and spire; No mortal bars its all-embracing light. So none can check the king’s rising ire. He claims for self the Tamil realm by right, And will not call it common to all kings. Alone he dares to wage the fateful fight. Who yields him tribute lives in peace, and brings No fear to reign, for he will guard their throne. Who loses favor, ruin round him clings— Like wasps that from their hidden nest are thrown, Their lives shall fade, as fleeting as the day, When from their mound they fly and fade unknown.
