Point of Entry into Healing Through Storytelling: Music

In this episode, Alina Murad sits down with Juan Torro and Alexis Carmiglia to discuss storytelling through music. Juan and Alexis are two gifted Chilean musicians, both members of the group "Grupo Encuentro", where they perform authentic Chilean folk music. Having to confront personal battles with the dictatorship in Chile, they use music as a means of advocacy and resistance. As such, they carry on their experiences while bringing Chilean culture to life through the celebration of its musical heritage here in Canada.
