Police Boost Powers in Hodge Hill | Birmingham News

Birmingham police are deploying enhanced stop-and-search powers in Hodge Hill today, from 11 AM to 11 PM, as part of the urgent investigation into the murder of 34-year-old Zeshaan Shaukat — whose funeral is being held today. Officers can now stop and search people without suspicion and ask them to remove face coverings to aid transparency. These Section 60 powers, previously used in the area, are being ramped up following the fatal stabbing on August 25th. Authorities urge anyone with information to contact West Midlands Police via non-emergency line 101 or Live Chat, using reference number 20/376531/26. The force vows to protect the community and support Mr. Shaukat’s family while pursuing justice. Listen in comfort:Get a discount on a Soli Pillow: http://solipillow.com/discount/dnn.
